Year left on his deal. City could possibly get £60m or so for him even now.
Would they sell to Chelsea, and potentially strengthen a rival?
Would they just keep him and let him go next year for free?
Are they reliant on getting some money in?
Does Sterling hang on for a year, pick up another title, and look to cash in next summer with a big wage and signing bonus, aged 28. He'll still have a big contract left in him.
Personally id be surprised if they sold to anyone inside the top 6. Or perhaps they just dont see some of his possible destinations as a threat to them.
What do people think is the likely outcome here?

I think his career will just ebb away post City, he has nothing left to prove.

I'd have him back. I think Klopp could get his goals up like he did Salah.

What is going to happen with Salah? Is he signing a new contract?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Nope, so sell him.
He's had a final offer, if he doesn't like it, do one.

Improves Chelsea but remains a little off genuine top class so won't be enough to worry the big 2.

I think Liverpool may come back to the pack next season. I think Liverpool have probably peaked now, and with Mane leaving will be a big miss, relying on an untried new signing to replace him. Would be like say Spurs replacing Kane with a Portuguese striker.

Diaz matched Mane's goal contribution stats per mins last season
In a heavy schedule and being rotated in and out of the team.
I think he'll kick on next season after a good start.

re Sterling he's averaged 26.5 goal contributions over the last 5 seasons and that's not starting every game.
He's certainly got a good 3-4 seasons in him given his age so will be a good signing for any top side.
Too bad we're not in for him.

Sterling will be really good for Chelsea.
I feel like people under rate him these days.

I think he's over-rated but may be because he looks slightly out of place technically in that City team.
He may well flourish at another team.

Diaz is quality and with your striking options you have enough players but there are a few question marks.
- Will Nunez be effective from the off?
- Will Salah be pre-AFCON form or Post_AFCON form
- Will Jota's form return to the heights where he was scoring freely.
Your attack has been a well oiled machine for a few years now so changing up some components and hoping others aren't starting to degrade does leave a few question marks about whether they can continue to be the force they were...time will tell

The Nunez change is most likely the only change to our starting 11 and I expect him to be eased in similar to Konate last season.
We're see plenty of rotation across the front 3 I think between Salah, Diaz, Jota, Nunez, and Bobby.
Like you said time will tell but I don't think we're going to struggle to score goals
