We (predictably) seem to be linked with Ajax players past and present which makes sense with the manager we have but is it a risk bringing in 3/4 players from a team whose players have gone on to pretty much flop everywhere they’ve been? Or if flop is too harsh a word, then underwhelmed…
Of course if anyone is gonna get these players firing it’s the man who initially created the buzz with the same players but if he can’t and ends up losing his job over it we’ll have a squad of Van De Beek style hard to shift players and another rebuild in the making.
Ajax v2.0 - a risk?

"Taken too far, it would be concerning if it turned out we were only looking at Ajax players because of a lack of imagination on ETH's part"
You call it lack of imagination, but the reason managers go back to their old clubs is usually because they've brought those players to the clubs for a reason in the first place.

Lets back the manager and hope he is as good as we hope.

That's a lot of hoping.

The same Ajax players who managed to bottle a 3-0 lead in 35 minutes at home to Spurs in the biggest game of their entire lives?
Nah, I'm sure you'll be fine

Bar FDJ we've no real idea if we are targeting his ex ajax squad or its just lazy journalism.
Nothing wrong with getting a few familiar faces who not just know his system, but will be on his side dressing room wise.

I don't disagree. In my other comments I made the point that some of these Ajax players are elite footballers. Would only say that Ajax would have made their acquisitions based on a mixture of their resources and the competition levels they would face, and there are plenty of players who would be an excellent buy for Ajax but not for us.

Are you unique to Huddersfield or are they all as idiotic as you.

Not much point worrying about it until 1) we sign some players and 2) we start the season.

Are you new here? You don’t appear to have learnt the rules of the United board yet.

It's a forum, princess. A website that is choc full of differing opinions and if you don't agree with one, then maybe explain why?
Got to be more fruitful than this lame grumpy old man act you've been rolling out forever.

The players recently, and currently, coming out of Ajax are ideal Premier league players.
Getting a decent core of them in the starting xi will give a pretty solid foundation.
Indeed, there are healthy enough coaching, sporting, and competitive, reasons to utilise ajax as the clubs prime academy instead of the current dross factory that's well passed it's 'sell by date'.
