Richy

Rivals can banter us all they want. But this signing makes sense. In an ideal world yes would have loved L Martinez off Inter. But hey ho.

But again with the way signings are done nowadays clubs are not scared to cut their losses. It's not like they pay the whole fee upfront.

So maybe we can take a hit to a certain extent. I think that's one of the attitude changes in the club now. Ready to cut losses instead of just holding on - Royal, Lo Celso etc.

Anyway getting back to Richarlison as long as his attitude is not a problem I actually think this is a great signing.

I even think a front 2 of Son & Richarlison itself could turn out great when we need to change things up. He's a grafter capable of doing the hard work for Sonny to finish.

Imagine Kane setting both of them up

Sonny & Richy lol

He's been brought into to play across the front 3 positions, but interestingly his total career stats show he is most effective on the left. Even maybe a winger?

App Goal Assist
CF 101 26 29
LW 96 34 18
RW 33 7 2
AM 6 1 1

Opta Joe: Since his Premier League debut for Everton in August 2018, Richarlison has scored 43 league goals; the only Brazilian with more in Europe's big-five leagues in this time is Neymar (50).

Also the argument about him vs Jesus Vs Raphina. It's all subjective.

His market value according to Transfermarket in the current Brazil Squad has him in 9th place - £1.8m off Jesus (£45m) who is 8th and £3.3m more than Raphina (£40.5m) who is 11th.

His work ethic is excellent… as is his versatility..

He can be nasty & in your face…

He was signed for these exact reasons…

And scoring goals which he has done for club and country.

did you overpay for him .... most definitely .... however thats the norm for transfers between english clubs.

I do think he will do a job for Spurs however, versatile, strong runner and good work rate, he will fit into Conte plans quite well I would think

At least ENIC didn't balk at the price and dillydally like before.

Its the going rate.

Long may this continue.

the going rate for clubs in England the rest of the world wouldnt pay the amounts you do.

You cant seriously sit there and tell me the EPL rpices are inflated and dont reflect the rest of the world

In attack, we didnt need more numbers, we needed better quality, less of a dramatic step down from Kane & Son to the supporting cast.. In this respect he's a huge upgrade on Bergy, although he was a player I liked and wish had been given more chances.

We have to keep an eye on the home grown rule also…

Hence our interest in Spence & Gordon!!
