Who misses football?

I know there was that Nations league shiiitshow but it genuinely seems like years since there was any meaningful football played. This ‘summer’ (winter for moi) is dragging. Don’t get me wrong, AFL and league is a decent enough substitute but the Premier league is where it’s at.

Still 5 long weeks to go. On a side note, it was just announced that in Serie A if teams at the top of the table are locked on the same points at the end of the season there will be a play off. Should that happen in the PL? I think yes. Pumping a team 9-0 in September should not be the difference between a team being declared as better than the side who finished on the same points as them imo.

Not missing it at all... Was glad to see the season end, didn't watch any nations league either

Once the preseason friendlies start I'll get the appetite back

I do miss some games. For special/important occasions. Sometimes working commitments. Illness.

But I will try not to, if I can by, keeping the decks clear on matchdays.


Is that really that strange?

Not really.

I miss the fact that the World Cup should be happening but we’ll get that in November.

It is pretty strange that on a football forum people seem to hate people who enjoy football tbh
Strange to me that "working on the house" is seen as a better option than going up the footy and for a few beers with mates - I'd rather pay someone else to do it and go out and enjoy myself but each to their own.

I haven’t said or typed FFS for a while and I am starting to miss it so yes FFS I’m getting bored and FFS how many players can we be involved in advance negotiations without signing one !

It's good to have a break. I fill my sport addiction with the transfer silliness, bit of Wimbledon, and the F1 season getting going.
