Need at least

8 first team signings this summer, clubs using 5 subs next season will hit us if we don't add depth. Top clubs will benefit massively with ability to rotate strong squads and imagine we lose all our key players for 6 months again (who ever they are)

Also, not that I really follow any transfer news with much interest, but looking at who were after is quite worrying. Lots of Redbull midfielders, most of which are stepping up, big time, not that they wont necessarily work, but we need a mix of premier league proven players. The list of players out of contract is massive, a few of those would be great for us, maybe it's time to ditch the only buying cheap young players to try and make money on them, after last seasons huge failure. Add to this, a relatively unproven manager and style of play. Paying 5m for a youth player, who won't ever step foot onto the pitch with first team, when that money could have been used to get a good back up keeper for example is just an indication Orta isn't learning from his wasteful mistakes.

Lastly, not seeing who's replacing Raphinha, doesn't appear we have anyone lined up, maybe the club are working in the background, but with a ridiculous trip to Aus coming up, we end up with fractured team of new players coming in with no time to play pre season games with rest of squad.

Maybe I'm old school, but all seems like one of Radz great ideas to boost commercial side without any thought of what really matters, getting the team ready for a tough season of focusing of staying up.

But Barca cannot afford him, how do you see that coming about without us cutting the amount we accept for him?
—————————-

Cant afford him, dont sell him, its that simple
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We will end up selling him as we need the money to finance extra players. Raphinha is a luxury that at this point we can ill-afford as we need the numbers across the park not just in one position.
Chelsea are the only one willing to meet what we ask but they will soon drop out and look elsewhere.
All Barcelona need to do is bide their time and they will get their man at their price.
It is all well and good saying don't sell but just a touch naive.
The games people play.

You cant force someone to go somewhere they dont want to 🀦

True but you can play games to force through the move you do want. Mark my words he will end up going to Barcelona and at a lot lower fee than Chelsea are offering.

Apparently Barca want to pay 20 now and the rest in installments.

Thats how most transfers work

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Most but not all, we are asking all up front because that strengthens our hand elsewhere.

People do realise these antics by Deco, Barca, and
Raph will only screw LUFC over. Just hope same people don't b 1tch about the actual fee we end up
getting for him from Skint FC, once they're the only
bidder.

Hilarious that people don't like the idea of our club
trying to push through a transfer for 60 mill up front.

Some brilliant minds on here.

If Barca want him in installments then ok!..

As long as the agreement states they miss a payment then they lose out on what they've paid and we get him back!..

Cant be to difficult to put something in place to make sure our club gets its asking price, and we definitely shouldn't be dropping our price to keep them in the money!..

No i think everyone wants the best deal possible.

But he wants to play for Barca, its that simple.

You cant force a player to go somewhere he doesnt want to go.

I think he’ll end up staying by the sounds of it, unless Barca come in to some money.

Cant blame Raphinha for choosing Barcelona and cant be viewed as robbing the club over. Sounds like we maybe could have got better money for Phillips but he would only leave for Man City.
Both players who have helped to give us another £100M+ of Premier money on top of their fees. They have given us a platform from which to build.
Its up to Marsch and Orta now.

Tyler Adams plays for a top-end Bundesliga side regularly in the CL. He's taking a step down to join us, albeit as a way of getting more game-time. We have a mix of Premier League experience players in the current squad. Two years of experience.

I'd rather the club sign better players than get rinsed for players that aren't good enough to get in the sides around us in the league.

We need three more players, and then another GK. Then I'd be (relatively) happy with the squad.

--------------------Meslier
Kristensen---Koch---Cooper---Firpo
-------------Adams----Roca
Harrison------Aaronsson----Sinisterra
------------------Bamford

Stays up imo, then your bench has Llorente and Struijk, Klich and Forshaw for CM (perfectly stable back-up options), Rodrigo, Gelhardt, James, Greenwood, and ideally we would be adding another striker, too.

Maybe a bit light at FB, but depends what the plan is for Drameh, and whether the club is backing Hjelde and Davis.
