I’m far from convinced that this is a good idea…
Safe Standing given the Green Light.

You could still buy a seat in a seated area then, and would be less likely to have someone standing in front of you ruining your view, as they could buy a ticket in the standing area.

Stop being sensible FFS.

Could be great
Also surely it's as safe as seating if you have a rail barrier on each level? (As in there's no way to create the same awful scenes from the past in terms of a stampede/crush)

If you’re in the Stretford end now in the middle and there’s a late winner your legs get fckin crushed anyway jumping about with chairs shin high in front of you.
Fans stand up as soon as the ball is near the goal anyway and always will do.

Premier league player in his late 20’s been arrested for suspicion of rape. Internationally renowned & lives in Barnet( Hadley Wood).
Hope it’s not one of our players!!

Can’t wait to stand safely

We had it at Chelsea last season, the shed and Matthew Harding at least the lower areas got it. My season ticket is in the Matthew Harding lower. We used to stand anyway during a game but now we have a bar in front of is to lean on. Other than that there is no difference.

Seems a lot safer than the old days and it’s only a section of the crowd so the people who like to stand and can put up with other annoying standers will be fine.
Great idea as it’s surely the best way to watch football? Standing .. but safe?

Yeah I think it'll be great
Could do wonders for the atmosphere if you can get a load of the more "outgoing" supporters standing and chanting all game (away from people who prefer to sit)
