So after two and half years of avoiding it myself and my girlfriend have finally got the dreaded thing this week (I tested positive yesterday but have been unwell most the week)
I’ve been guilty of thinking people are just wimps and it’s just a snivel and you need to man up ! I was most definitely wrong !
I’ve never had flu so can’t compare it but I can barely get out of bed as I’m so fatigued and my body is aching all over
Probably feeling it worse as it’s now been 6 months since our last booster / jab….unless anyone has had a booster / jab but still been really bad not long after it?
I’ve just started a new job too ….rules are crazy ?! Even if test positive but you feel well enough to work you can go in ! So being new and wanting to give a good impression I went in to be told to get out the building as my department will make its own decisions and until you are negative stay away (this makes more sense to the company policy)
My point is (as well as having a good whinge about being ill as men do) has anyone else come across these new policies at their work place of going in if you want even if positive? It seems crazy to me ….we will have work forces up and down the country being sick
Just because one persons immune system deals with the virus well doesn’t mean the person next to them is so lucky and they could be potentially very sick

Also I don't think lockdowns really work. Humanity has already lost the battle against Covid, it's now here to stay no matter what we do and will mutate and change just as often as the common cold does probably door decades to come. Endless lockdowns every couple of years will save a few more lives, but will devastate generations of education's and early life experiences & relationships.

We should not be following anything from China, especially when it's now widely accepted that covid came from from a lab.
They knew how bad this was and tried to hide it and still allowed travel abroad. This wouldn't have been as bad if they didn't try to hide things and the WHO did their job.
China treat people like crap, I will never forget what they did to the African black people during this pandemic.
Who knows what their real figures are in China

I don't believe a word that comes out of China, either they lied about the number of deaths they had or they knew what was coming. If they contained the virus to just Wuhan they saw it coming and kept it quiet because they could use it to their benefit.

It's likely that China knew of the virus from August/September 2019.
In any case WHO ignored Taiwan's warnings about this on Dec 31 2019.
So little is said of the mess-ups from this pandemic
