Plus it is Middlesbrough who are messing about, keep changing the amount the want for him. The player has said he wants to join us and his club are in danger of having a very disgruntled player if he does not get the move.

Think Conte will be very happy with the business so far with essentials addressed early, ideally he'd have liked a top CB in for pre season but think why now they contacted lenglet is because they realised this wasn't possible.

Sorting out the futures of those left behind from the tour of Korea then any opportunities for a couple more at wingback and CB will be explored later would be my guess.

The transfer window does not close until Thursday 1st September so 51 days left. More than enough time to get more players, both in and out!

Problem is Genius, the season will be a month old when the Transfer window ends. I thought the new policy was to buy early and get them bedded in for the start of the season.

We've literally got 5 in early that's got to be a spurs record

Not easy to get everyone you want in as selling clubs are stubborn, prices etc tend to go down later in the window

Doherty and Emerson in my opinionnare playing for their careers in pre-season especially in S.Korea. be interesting to see how they do.

Conte also mentioned Deki could play RWB. So could we see a front 3 of Richarlison Kane and Son with Kulu at RWB for some games against stubborn defences IF we don't sign the top class RWB we all want.

Not disputing that. Just this Spence saga has been going on for Longer than Eriksen to United.

Sometimes they go up later in the window when selling clubs realise the buying club is desperate. Just as one example we paid £30m for Sissoko on deadline day at a time when that was considered an enormous transfer fee.

Though thankfully he turned out to be a top class signing worth every penny.

Brother, true depends but I mean more the fact that teams usually like to cover themselves first by making sure they have majority of their signings in place before selling
