Really enjoyed watching this video put out by the club of their flight and arrival in S Korea:

It was the first time I’ve seen this level of togetherness in the squad since the Poch era. A few other things that stood out were:
- How relaxed, at ease, and happy Antonio Conte seemed. The club really have changed their ways and backed him this summer and it really came across in his demeanour. Maybe just maybe we finally have a manager in place to bring us some elusive silverware. Kulusevski was another one who seemed really happy and excited to be there.
- Eric Dier seems to be a growing voice, leader, and binding force in the squad, and more leaders are exactly what we need.
- Son, how can anyone not love him.
- Was happy to see Bryan Gil back and his little brother type status within the squad, still think he can come good for us and glad he’s getting a chance in pre-season.
All in all this has just got me more excited for the season ahead.

It's all for the cameras mate. Behind the scenes Richarlison and Romero had a full on scrap in the hotel lobby, Doherty was shouting racist abuse at the hotel staff, Emerson and Moura were pulling their eyes at the locals shouting take away numbers. Don't be fooled.

Yeah I definitely fell for it. I like to think I have a good sense of humour but don't always cotton on when jokes are made by people I barely know in written form. I'm happy to get a laugh anyway even if it's at me. The joke equivalent of a goal going in off your backside.

Shame it didn't get a full write-up somewhere, especially with the significance of Son and his remarkable achievements as one of Asias greatest ever, returning home with his club.

I was impressed with their Green zones around schools too. Every school has the right to declare a green zone if the majority of parents vote for it. And many do and you can see the signs on the road. That means that no establishment can serve junk food within a distance ( I think it was a mile) - or they are fined and possibly closed. As you can imagine there are no shortage of parents willing to police the zone
