Bajcetic & Elliott

These two youngsters really caught the eye for me tonight. While Darwin will get all the highlights with his four goals, Salah playing the best I’ve seen for some time, Bobby looking fit and good as ever, B & C really stood out.

Then comes Carvalho! What a player. No wonder the club were desperate to sign him. And for £7-8M? Robbery.

Three young men who I have no doubt will be future stars for LFC.

Elliott has looked sharp all pre season as has Carvalho. Bit disappointed Gordons not been involved, is he injured? Kelleher too but ive read on here he is injured.

Spot on Jim with carvahlo looks a fantastic buy , if Harvey stays fit another useful player with 5 subs and the season splitt in 2 WC , be interesting how we use the squad

Its nice for a young lad to get a bit of attention Bajcetic was got in just before the brexit thing slammed the window shut on getting u18s in he is decent for a kid.

Carvalho is busy looking and eager to impress. I'd be looking to see him gvien a bit of time to settle in before explacting too much.

Elliott has worked hard over the "off season" to lose weight and be in top shape to get this season going. He will want to stake a claim for a regular berth over keita imo.

If i had my choice between the two, well naby la is a very good interceptor in the press but i find he is now very one paced after his issues. I think elliott isn't as consistent in delivery on the ball but is far more energetic and intensity is much higher.

Oh and btw.

no mention of jones but he's done "alright" as well.

If there's a list of LFC Possibles building it might read like this:

Quanash - bit of a chance here
Gordan - lot of pace and forward running here.
Mabaya - looks half decent
Davies - an ok young keeper.
Bajcetic - looks ok doesn't he?

then

Ramsay - 18/19? new signing we've not seen yet
Elliott - bargain free we've also robbed
Carvalho - another bargain robbery
Morton - took huge strides this last 12months
jones - the "elder statesman"
Koumetio - off on loan now
Balagizi - a lot of people like this lad, i think he's a lot of bigger and stronger than age group so laon is crucial here.

We've a lot of young players of a certain level and a certain type. It'll be one to watch if we can covert a proportion into actual squad players for us or into pro footballers (as in league 2 and above)

Most of the work is bringing in players out of other youth set ups but theres a half decent crop of lads from the academy mixed in.

You'll note i've left several buzz type u18/u19 players off this list as frankly, i don't see them featuring.

Balagizi reminds me of yaya toure, also a bit like that 18 yr old lad from villa we're linked to and hes just gone on loan to a league 2 side i think? Interested to see how he does for them crawley i think it was?

the probelm is he might remind us of david amoo also.

that lad had all the power in the world at underage and simply never had to develop himself as he just ran

yeah the loan is league 2 so it says he has to impress big time now. Crawley hopefully like him and play him.

I was going to ask about Ramsey - surprised we’ve not seen anything of him even if just to give him a feel of the team and playing style. Anyone know why that’s not happened?

Cos he was sent for an op to fix an issue in his.medical.

Some.minor this which I have not heard what it is but could be a bone spur or whatever.
