Just not feeling it for Chelsea this season

Not sure why, but I don't fancy us to have a good season. I am not convinced with the signings to date and worry about fitness of Kante and Silva. The central defence just feels out of balance and whilst we are likely to sign one more CB, it maybe a case of signing who is left on the shelf rather than first choice.

And another transfer window has passed where we have done nothing that appears to improve our goal scoring efficiency. Although I would like us to try Broja.

How are other Chelsea fans seeing the season ahead?

Just a hunch, but I think it's gunna be a boring season, but not a bad one. I think we'll see progress, Tuchel's too good of a coach to not make some headway with any group of players going into a 2nd full season, but it'll be incremental & a harbinger of our future without Abramovich.

But tbf that's an underling fear I have that would've been there whoever we signed this summer so I need to give it time. A fear that we'll become more boring, not worse necessarily, but less chaotic & impulsive. I know tons of Chelsea fans who disagree but I loved that about Abramovich, whether for good or bad reasons it made every season interesting.

Lol the irony of the club that has spent the most this season and have fans criticising other clubs for years about buying players for success.

This why so many Spurs fans are regarded as hypocrites and utter kantzzz

Biggish

In answer to your OP. (If required i can prove this is not reactionary) Last night's result was no surprise to me.

It's felt for a while like a mixture of Jose's last pre-season and the Summer going into Conte's 2nd/last season.

Something does not feel right. And I think TT's own interview which was on SSN actually confirms my belief.

Controversial prediction.......

If he's still unemployed, I believe Poch may very well be our Head Coach by end of World Cup.

Could happen becaus TT going through personal family trauma too. I would say he will be weighing up career options versus family matters

Club Transfer spending (€m)
Arsenal 132
Bayern Munich 117.5
Man City 109
Leeds 105.5
Barcelona 103
Tottenham 102
Chelsea 94
Juventus 89.5
Dortmund 86
Liverpool 86

We have only spent £8m more than Chelsea so far, in PL we have been outspent so far by Arsenal, City & Leeds🤔

The difference being that we have got our signings in early enough for them to be up and running come August 6th. Chelsea have not and Tuchel is unhappy about the attitude of the players, it is almost as if they want to get him sacked.
Whilst I don’t give too much credence to results in pre-season friendlies, I do look at players attitude and approach to these games. Against Arsenal your players looked as if they couldn’t be ars*d most of the time. This was made evident in Tuchel’s post match interview, he was not a happy man.

Over the last 5 years (transfer market) Spurs have a greater net spend of 20m more than Chelsea. Which is why those Spurs fans such as Sir Tottenham are so embarrassingly thick. When they post their nonsense.
