Haaland of the Mark

The kid is rapid, very fast and presses quite well. If he stays fit he will score loads of goals without a doubt. Thought Wilson-Esbrand was very good. Will certainly retain his place in the senior squad and looks like great cover at Left back. Suddenly the sale of Zinchenko doesnt look all that bad now.

Still think we should buy Cucurella as I would rather Cancelo and Walker trade places at right back during the course of the season. Its gonna be a strange old season. The football might not be as a fluid at times and players like KDB and Rodri will have to hold things together in midfield as the new attackers bed in but I think we will be okay.

I enjoy watching Ake. I am not sure why we even considered selling him as his versatility and contributions are immense. The youngsters will get a lot of game time this season which is exciting. I understand the club have turned down a 30 million bid for Delap from the Saints (20 million upfront + 10 million add ons)

Not sure why but if he isn't going out on loan then it means he is staying.

He’s not really off the mark, as these goals don’t count towards anything. Not saying he won’t score bag fulls, but never seen so much hype over pre season games, never knew people took so much from them, what is essentially a competitive training session. Wait until the games count be

Talksport going about Everton losing a few friendlies like they’d lost the champions league. Mental

Tottally make you right mate. City are not one of my disliked teams, but we can all see yet another media poster boy being chucked in our faces every time he doeas something, anything. Yeah he scored, but a 8 inch tap in ? we both could have put that away.

That said, like you, I have never seen so much hype around a few friendlies that anyone with a brain knows is not an indicator of the coming season, and are all basically training matches to get the squad fit + sew a few contacts / promote the brand abroad.

The two biggest culprits ( as usual ) are Utd and Arsenal. The media ( and Simon Stone in particular ) have taken every possible opportunity to big up Utd and their shiny new ( but probably the same as the last one ) Messiah, sorry I mean Manager.
Then you have Arsenal fans today proclaiming "we are the champions of Florida" I mean, you could not make it up.

For all the shouting and chest pumping, we both know the top two will still be the top two, with the other European places being anyone's guess. So basically, nothing has changed, just a few agents getting richer.

I thought the Audi Summit was a recognised international trophy.

Thanks for putting me right, I feel guilty now for finding last night's game an entertaining spectacle.

He's just turned 22 and he's already a giant and still growing.

I'm pretty sure City's medical staff will have done their due dilligence

Still growing? You mean adding muscle?

As an early developer I'm pretty sure his growing will have stopped before he was 20?

Sorry Professor Silver MD, I meant still developing.

In respect of the niggles that Haaland is troubled with.
I am sure some of the Anfield faithful will correct me but I seem to recall that Steven Gerrard was troubled with niggles in the early stages of his career...didn't exactly hold him back

The niggles are what they are holding on to. His movement is world class and if he stays fit he will score. Its not a difficult science to comprehend.

I thought Liverpool players were immune to injury?

It was actually before he was a first team player, when he was in the youth teams. When he was in the first team he'd already over come those issues.

Did you watch football back then?
