Who does everyone want in the League Cup draw this afternoon?

Without getting carried away, Dundee look to be the team to beat this year in the league cup. They were by far the best team in the group stages and have been playing some of the most attractive football in Europe. Arguably only behind Man City in that respect. With Rangers losing their best players and Celtic stagnating, it would take a very brave man to bet on anyone other than Dundee this season in the cups.

With a team going into next season on the back of winning every competition they entered this season, Dundee should kick on and win the Scottish Premiership next season, kick starting a decade of dominance in Scotland and eventually in Europe.

As with Barcelona of the past 20 years or so, tourists will flock to Dundee to watch the dark blues play, especially 6 time Ballon D'Or winner Lyall Cameron (scored another excellent goal yesterday). To complement Dundee's growing reputation as video games capital of the world, comic book capital of the world and arguably now the cultural capital of Europe, Dundee will soon become the world capital of football. The newly build stadium at Camperdown Park will need to be increased to over 100,000 as visitors will not be happy to go and watch the Espanyol of the city who would be dwindling in the lower divisions by then.

On the back of the success in Europe, the American owners set up franchises in every continent in the world. Dundee become champions of every continent. The club world cup semis are then contested by Dundee, The Joburg Jutemills, the Boston Beanos and the Pyongchang Pehs.

Dundee would likely win that and expand beyond earth to the moon, Mercury and Venus, setting up leagues there made up of 20 teams called something related to Dundee. Dundee very quickly achieve decades of success on other planets because their years are shorter. They deliberately avoided Mars because it has a year of 687 days so would take a couple of earth years to win one title there and the owners are very business minded so it would be unrealistic for Dundee set up leagues on Mars.

They very quickly overtake Rangers for most league titles won. Here is a breakdown of titles won by Dundee between 2030-2039 (earth years):

Earth titles: 70 (one each year in each 7 continents)
Moon titles: 135 (13.5 titles per earth year)
Venus titles: 16 (1.6 titles per earth year)
Mercury titles: 41 (4.1 titles per earth year)

That is 262 league titles in a decade. This is with a strong Rangers as well so not comparable to Celtic's recent decade of dominance.

With 400 billion Milky Way stars, it is estimated that they contain 1-to-10 trillion orbiting planets in total. Taking a typical year length for planets in our solar system and taking into account the amount of time it will take to travel to these planets to set up leagues, between playing matches and organising trophy parades, it is estimated that by the end of the century, Dundee will have won 100 trillion league titles

And that's only for THIS universe and doesn't include cup competitions or moons for each planet. Think about how many other universes there may be out there.

Just need a favourable draw today to kickstart a potential good wee run of a trillion years of success across 90 gagillion lightyears.
