We should do all of these things.

Just let anyone in.
Pay off traffickers.
Negotiate with the very reasonable French.
Make them work for me. (cheers JFK)

I’m sure there’s more we could do

Any suggestions anyone?

As has been said already, create safe and legal routes to the U.K. so they can claim asylum lawfully.
And if they cannot claim asylum - then deport them.
What part of that do you (pretend to) not understand??
And, just to differentiate between 'Daily Mail illegal immigrants' and reality...

Or, you could blame the French, the EU or the RNLI for rescuing people...

We have safe and secure routes. Those that ignore them and decide to risk their lives crossing the worst sea possible do so because they are ILLEGAL immigrants.

What difficulty is there here?

Christ almighty 😂

And exactly why Spain won their Melilla case at the highest court and continue deporting 'illegals' from the Canaries to Mauritania on deportation flights.

Mmm. Not according to the article they're not. "Nearly two-thirds of people who migrate to the UK in small boats are deemed to be genuine refugees and allowed to remain".
