A good result to start off the season, always wary about the first competitive game so would be happy just to get the three points.
thought we had some really good bits of play, Jota's goal was an absolute peach, we did lose possession with slack passing a few times but tbh if we want to play that way we have to accept that's going to happen sometimes.
Going forward we look clever, sharp, and creative, and at the back we look all over the place, very little structure and discipline there.
While i thought Taylor had a very good game i feel like he is a big culprit in this, he's taking the inverted full back role to the extreme, at one point in the first half he was on away over on the right and at another he was a second striker. The minute we lose the ball he's out of position and the CB's in trouble. We're going to get skelped in the champions league playing like that, it's so naive.
that said, taylor was my motm and a lot of the good we had (particularly in the first half) was coming through him. Thought some of our players were a bit quiet but tbh we moved the ball that quick that it was hard to keep up with who was doing what at times.
love watching us just now, rarely a dull moment

I was clearly suggesting they might not be the team they were last season, but you wanted to remind us that they finished 1st season (they didn’t), and were clearly a good side-which we’ve no idea seeing as it’s a new manager and not got some of their players from before.
You’ll deny it-obviously-but it’s clear by not addressing what I asked and jumping straight in with the ‘aye bit’ point.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
remind us? not sure anyone knew that to be reminded of it?
thats it?... thats the big angle you thought I was working. Im a right sinister bassa me eh?
there was no aye bit, you asked for some info. thats all.
....cheers that amused me a bit there. big evil plotting mastermind that I am !
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What is it today with cvnts going overboard about stuff?! I hardly suggested it was a ‘big angle’! Don’t worry-I don’t see you as some Machiavellian type-completely the opposite.
As for just giving me some info-they’re in the CL qualifying. Everyone knows then that they did well last season. When someone’s asking about the make up of their current team-and gives a hint as to why-what relevance is their position 34 games in the previous season?!
What help did you think that was to what I asked?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
you said I jumped in two footed with some agenda or something like that. on the basis of me quoting s a sentence from wiki.
hurted ma feelings so ye did

I'm just wondering who Kent was playing for yesterday.
People get carried away on here too easily.

Oh and a thread on Natalie Wood would be better than one on Maxwell.

Aye. And that's disgusting. Grown men as well.
So what's your views on Welsh? I'm assuming you've seen him play over the years. Wasn't happy to see him starting yesterday, but he surprised me. Possibly his best game for Celtic.

Watched him for 10 years, mate. Played a lot as a mid way back. Always distinctive with the blonde hair. He was a coaches favourite - straightforward. Even now there's no shenanigans, SM scheite, stories, rumours, speeding fines - coaches just love that stuff.
Lad rated him when he partnered in defence and that does for me. Way more than Hendry though I think his head was gone by that time?
Not sure he can keep Starfelt out though? It is a scheite position because coaches generally don't want to change their CBs. Ange may be different with the rotation?

There's a thing about Scottish fitba. If you're anywhere 6 foot tall at 17 your a CB. FFS you know Guakomakis would be a CB if he started in Scotland.
I think we should train some fair sized ¢unts to play football rather than train the just to defend (which is a skill in itself, but a guy like him 6'2" in midfield would be interesting as a DMF.

Not true, Quebec - more down to skill, speed and mental attributes. Guys that are unstable don't get played at the back. Guys that are slow do. Ditto those with good standing jump, positional discipline or who need the game played in front of them. The physical stuff helps but it is not all.
