I honestly believe that our dealings in the summer transfer window has finished, I still think we need a keeper, left back, striker and Pablo type creative midfielder.
The fanfare about Joe, Sam and Crysencio seems to be a smoke screen to cover up the lack of activity
But I think the lack of recent other activity indicates that Orta has been told, "no more".
Jesse was talking after the Cagliari game about Radz being in Leeds this week and this gave him the opportunity to discuss the transfer strategy over the rest of the window. Why does it need the boss to be in the building for that discussion to happen, cannot they do that over skype or some other media?
Doesn't Victor have some delegated authority, cannot Jesse have that discussion with him?
We've known for a season now that we were short on numbers keeper wise and that Kiko wasn't fit for purpose, why hasn't a back-up keeper been identified? We know there's keepers out there available who could do a job, why are we a handful of games away from the start of a new season with effectively one keeper?
Likewise they have known both Firpo and Paddy are susceptible to injury problems. Why has cover for neither position been identified?
I hope all of these problems areas are addressed in the remaining four weeks of the window but I see little evidence to indicate much movement and based on the past few weeks, history tells me that despite lots of noise we will see no more arrivals.
We're done

The use of gelhardt etc on advertising gives impression others won’t be with us for long.
Orta said they’re sticking with snap squad policy,
Fans can say we need x,y,z, but here is the problem. We spent almost nothing last season….and stayed up. What our owners learn from that is that they don’t need to spend, to stay up.
Ar complains we recouped no money last 2 seasons, but neglects to say how much extra tv money snd sponsorship money received.
I don’t think we’re in good financial health.
I think we’re in for another struggle this year as do bookies and pundits.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Any idea what our finances are like since promotion? Revenue + player sales - player purchases…seems like this summer is all about balancing the books.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We’ve been losing money in increasing amounts, with tiny profits once in a while.
AR says we have to sell to buy.
We were led to believe Lesson learnt from last season and investment in squad going to happen this summer but a net zero spend doesn’t back that up so far.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
How long ago did AR say ("we", strange, I for one are not siging the checks, I only just support the club), had to sell to buy? Was it before the 49s took such a large financial interest in the club. Then there is P Lowy joining the board. These parties have a lot more money than AR has on his own.
In life sometimes people cannot be held to things they said in the past.
Circumstances alter cases and all that. I have no inside knowledge, I have never run a football club worth hundreds of millions of pounds. It is like running a corner shop and thinking that you could run the whole of Walmart, or owing a single petrol station and thinking you understand how to run BP.drilling rigs refineries and tankers. It is pointless being so definate when you do not have the insider knowledge, in that case everyone's speculation is equally valid.
I will wait in hope till the window closes, which is all us mere mortals can do. Does this means I am filtered.

JM has said we are actively looking for a LB and Striker. Phil Hay has confirmed some targets. Apparently we have submitted a bid for Kalimuendo from PSG.
No reason to believe this is false if thats what he's said.

A lot of time was wasted on CDK who was our prime target i believe - even JM confirmed this.

Its all well looking at who could come or who's being talked to!..
Agreememnt has to come between the clubs and player's involved, if one off them want more or the clubs think its not right, then we'll see what we're now seeing, the club moving to the next!..
So, targets being mentioned, internet throws a lot of crap in between the clubs wanted targets, and those that are being talked to have to find an agreement all agree to!..
The same as the Phillips and Raphinha deals!..
And there is more than enough time to bring more in!..

I can't say that I agree with that reading of the situation, Jonty. Because it takes no account of the numbers and significance of those going out and coming in.
On the departures' front we have KP and Raph, clearly hugely significant, but the other confirmed sales are far less significant.
As for in-coming, I suspect the board would argue that they've brought in four or five, significant players for the 1st Team squad.
Monies aside, doesn't that imply that they are investing in the squad?

Tedd, there’s a real difference between investing and re investing.
I have no problem with the re investing model however it doesn’t align with what we’re always told and doesn’t explain what has happened to supposed substantial amounts of money club has received.
Wasn’t it AR who says club is now worth 400 mill etc.
The finances of our club never seem
To add up and after ridsdale the Bates we have every right to question why things don’t add up.

After presser sounds like we are still in for a LB, Striker and reserve GK. JM expects a signing next week.
