Angus somehow despite saying he would resign from the club is still here to give his seasonal chat with the Square Ball.

It's not as binary as that, the number of shouting matches had with Bielsa as he was trying to get the board to deliver on what they'd agreed pays testament to that.

The board liked to take credit for Bielsa's success but blamed him for the failures.

There appears to be a co-ordinated campaign to lay blame with Bielsa to deflect scrutiny to board and ease path for Marsch.

I didnt want Biesla sacked, but if club feel that they needed to do that, I can respect that. Just think they could show a bit more respect in their talk of Bielsa, especially in light of all the respect he showed our club, our fans and the board themselves.

How hard is it to say "we were really struggling to live up to all our expectations and goals and felt a change was needed to try and salvage one last push. We never wanted it to end this way, Bielsa has transformed the club in so many ways and we cant think of any other coach who could do that. We hope we can build on what he has started and he is always a hero for us at Leeds"

You see… I think they have said that Jonty.

I agree he did the classic, ‘the buck stops here’ and then explains how he’s not sure what he could have done differently. On the one hand I agree that generally it’s better to shut up and not explain the reasoning. But people have consistently demanded an explanation. So they give the explanation, and it’s considered disrespectful.

As I've said, it really comes across as a co-ordinated attack. Marsch throwing in comments now, seemingly out of the blue, about how Bielsa was backed 100%....all done to try and wipe slate clean for board.

They don't need to do this, focus of the here and now and the excitement of season ahead instead of constant , little digs at Bielsa, for that is what they are.

Bielsa got slated for injuries, yet our injuries situation continues under new coach, Bielsa is blamed for small squad, yet Orta says club is continuing with small squad policy, are saying we had to sell 2 to bring in 6 to grow the squad, but omits to say that we exited another 4 so squad hasn't grown at all, lots and lots of smoke and mirrors.

Personally I think it’s unnecessary to talk about last season on the eve of this. But kinnear does this interview every year. The guys asking the questions keep asking about bielsa. There’s an argument kinnear should just bat them off and say they’ve said their piece and only want to discuss the present and the future... but then some would say they’re being evasive. Clearly with the radz interview and this one they’ve agreed a party line. It would be remiss if they hadn’t. Whether it’s a coordinated smear, would depend on your perspective.

Whichever, respect your opinion. Think there’s a game on today. Let’s see how the new Leeds shape up against likely mid-table opposition. MOT

I'm not convinced we will finish mid table without a couple more signings. LB and Striker.

I wonder if the likes of SGreenwood j Geldhardt and M joseph might step up. Going back to Tony Dorigo's time at the club, the club has always been short at left back. H Kewell used to play left back when he came over from Australia for the youth team. Shame that Tommy Knarvik never made it. Also Steve Tobin that lad had a wicked shot on him. When we are dead and gone there still will be a Leeds United. MOT.

I had resigned myself to the club not bringing in a new striker and out of frustration I vented my displeasure with the Leeds heirarchy, especially Radz, and duly gave them a good tongue lashing yesterday in a few of my posts.

Anyway today the noises coming out of PSG is that they expect us to tie up the deal next week to sign Kalimuendo.

He is young, granted and untested in the EPL but he is quick strong and I'd say a French Ivan Toney so if this does actually come to fruition next week I will as promised eat a big dollup of humble pie and apologise for doubting Radz and the club's ambition.

I've just finished listening to this interview with Angus Kinnear. I thought the questions put to him were quite searching, and, aside from some questionable body language (he kept playing with his nose!) I thought he stood up well. In fact, the interviewer was at times pretty sharp, but Kinnear did not seem to dodge or bull. The comments below the line were for the most part very appreciative.

Having now watched the Radrizzani and the Kinnear interviews, I'm afraid I don't see any evidence of any "concerted attack" on Marcelo Bielsa. We all know he was a genius and so do they, it seems to me. What a difficult decision - to sack this failing legend!

The club owes Bielsa a vast debt which can only be repaid when we compete at the highest levels, in Europe. He was exactly the man we needed at the time, but that time is now past - we have to move on. Kinnear said Bielsa wouldn't have appreciated a statue; I don't think he would appreciate it if he thought the fans were unable to move on and embrace the next phase.

The renaming of Thorpe Arch is a bit of a shot in the foot, though - it was Wilko's initiative after all, and I think that should have been recognised a long time ago. He is as much of a legend as Bielsa or Revie, in my view.

I was furious with Radrizzani/Kinnear/Orta for failing to reinforce last season - it seemed like they took a massive risk and only just squeaked it with the final kick of the last game. Sack Bielsa, at that point in the season, and then bring in an unknown quantity? It all seemed dodgy as hell to me - but they/we got lucky on the day.

But now they have reinforced, and quickly - and the new recruits, including Marsch, look pretty good so far, if you ask me. I have therefore moved on - life's too short to look for conspiracy theories in everything.

Yet another false dawn bs rumour I foolishly got sucked into actually believing we were going to sign a really young exciting goal scorer in Kalimuendo but no.. of course not he's off to Rennes for £25million!!!
