As bad as we were yesterday we arguably had as many clear cut chances as Brighton yesterday.
They scored with their only 2 and we missed ours. (I’m aware they were denied a stonewall penalty too)
The Bruno and Rashford misses were unacceptable though.
Bruno is making a habit of missing sitters at vital times. I remember one he missed at home to Wolves last season relatively late in the game at 0-0. They went on the win 0-1. Boro in the cup. Another sitter that if it goes in we probably win.
If he scores that early chance yesterday it’s a far different day imo.
Bruno has gone from my favourite player to a frustrating mess.
What we were doing giving him that big new contract I’m not quite sure.

I wouldn’t even put him in the top three passers in the Juve midfield, tbh.
His best attributes are in ball recovery: pressing, tackling, interceptions, strength. He’s quite good at hanging on to the ball and carrying it.
A lot of the time when he’s winning the ball back he’s just giving it to the likes of Locatelli or Cuadadro. Locatelli’s passing is a level above Rabiot’s for me.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
disagree, IMO he is the best passer of the ball at Juve.
He is a replica of Carrick
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Really not getting the Carrick comparison, tbh.
Rabiot is at his best as a mezzala, getting up and down the pitch carrying, helping to link and recycle, and then pressing or covering and breaking up play when the ball is turned over.
Juve won’t be bothered about losing him with Pogba coming back in, because if they shift back to 4-3-3, Pogba will take up the position Rabiot would otherwise be playing.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That sounds like a useful player in truth!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Pogba will be sitting on his ass injured so they should be bothered
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They’ll use Fagioli or Locatelli to link with the attack when Pogba isn’t available.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Mckennie, Locatelli, Pogba, Rabiot and Arthur all start ahead of Fagioli
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well Pogba is injured, Rabiot is surplus to requirements and being forced out, and Arthur has been playing as regista with Locatelli further up.
I would bet their midfield will look start of the season like::
Zakaria—Locatelli—Fagioli
----------------------------------------------------------------------
fagioli on the basis of playing 1 game for Juve so far in his career. He is young but you cannot say with any confidence he will be the starter.

We’ll see. I think he’s started all but one of Juve’s preseason games.
Zakaria is an automatic pick, Locatelli will seemingly shift back to regista, Pogba is injured, Arthur is off on loan, Rabiot is seemingly either going to be sold somewhere or playing with the U23s again.
Fagioli I think is set to be Pogba’s understudy, and whilst he’s out is going to have to carry some weight.

at the people who clearly havent seen Rabiot play that much.
His best position is 100% the deep lying playmaker. Very much in the Jorghino mould. Id say he could be more physical for a guy his size and his vision and passing is defo his main qualities.

Much like Rosso said
I haven't watched him much at Juve, at PSG I always thought he was better driving forward with the ball than any passing ability

I thought Rashford's was more a good save.

Rabiot is pretty underwhelming. Was a reserve at both PSG and Juve. Probably bought for extra height with that small CB you have.

The reserve part is not true.

Not whilst he’s injured he won’t.
Has he even kicked a ball this summer?

Bruno has been living off his first seasons reputation. Guy is a shrinking violet and is nowhere to be found when the team is struggling.

He is due back in 2/3 weeks, he dislocated his shoulder in pre season so will still be able to do light training.
