Yea, it's an odd one...

If I were to be a bit optimist and naive... Perhaps Plan A of De Jong has been made clear wont happen and rather than blowing the budget on a player that doesn't really fit, long term (eg, Neves)... Then maybe we are looking to bolster the midfield with a decent player, while keeping that money for better options next summer.

I did read a while back that if FDJ didn't happen, we would then have the budget for a forward... So we might so Rabiot + Antony or that striker.

Garner going on loan again while lumping rabiot on the wage bill... Pointless
