Tanguy Ndombele - Breach of Contract?

The more I read about Tanguy Ndombele, the more incensed I get. Watching the lazy f*cker steal a living with us since July 2019 and receive a weekly salary of an eye watering £200,000 a week makes my blood boil. And that’s in addition to the outlay of £55 million in the first place.

In my view Conte is absolutely correct in not wanting him anywhere near the squad. His level of toxicity doesn’t belong at Spurs.

I’m not a lawyer, but it makes me wonder why he can’t be sued for breach of contract. I know he’s had injuries but that doesn’t explain his apparent lack of commitment or desire to improve. Reports from training further suggest that he has little desire to do anything other than trouser a weekly wage that most is us would be thrilled to earn in a year.

Publicly suing the lazy b*stard for lack of effort might work, and even if it didn’t, it would send a message that we won’t tolerate people of his ilk.

A Poch signing to go alongside Nkoudou and Njie. A lot of money was wasted on those three.

With £200k effectivily being chucked in the bin every week, why doesn't Levy just bite the bullet and pay off his contract and tell him where the door is.

Obviously this means a loss of a lot of money and goes against every business principle Levy lives by, but this loss will effectively be repaid from the fans or the next couple of Lady Gaga concerts.

In a year everything about this farce would then be forgotten.

The really annoying thing is still having this guy and the likes of Lo Selso and Winks, all three of which won't be going near a Conte team anytime soon, are holding the club back from buying players we actually want/need.

Levy can only balance the figures so far and the outlay these three cost the club has clearly got to be got ride of first.

Villarreal might take Lo Selso ( for a snip ) but absolutely nobody has shown a remote interest in the other two. Even Championship clubs are not looking at Winks.

Every club has the occasional mare of a purchase, but christ these three have got to be taken off the books asap. Just holding Conte's vision ( and progress ) up unnecessarily.

Here we go with the Poch bashings again.

It's funny how disasters under his tenure are his fault yet players like Son for £22m, Dier for £3m, Alli for £5m and Toby for £11m barely get a mention about Poch.

The club sign the players. That was his biggest frustration working for us. He had little control over who was signed and he probably trusted the judgement of the recruitment team working alongside him. To lump Ndombele and Lo Celso on him is just a joke.

Is Fergie a terrible manager for signing Kleberson and Djemba Djemba? It happens.

After not making a signing for a year, Poch was wreckless with his choices and decisions. Not 100% his fault but after he made that "we need to operate differently" or words to that effect he overpaid on two players and we missed the boat on players like Tielemans, Bowen, Maddison to name a few because he did not want them. Cheers Poch.

My original point wasn’t intended as a slur on Poch. It’s Ndombele that hasn’t performed. Not sure why people jumped on that.

Shades of grey though, init. No one is saying Poch is a terrible manager. You're right - he deserves credit for all the good signings as well as the bad. There's no point pretending he didn't sign off on us buying Sanchez for 40m or Ndombele for 60. He made mistakes, it's ok. As you point out, so did SAF. The difference of course, is that Fergie won everything and is probably still the best football manager ever. Poch doesn't have quite the track record to offset those big mistakes. But whatever. It was never his job to find out if Ndombele had a sheit attitude. I hope there's someone keeping an eye on that stuff better these days.
