Not sure I’ve seen it mentioned on here but he’s just (in the last couple of days) taken over as player coach of our under 21s.
What an odd appointment. With him and Benni McCarthy appointed this past fortnight I’m just waiting on us to bring in Titus Bramble as defensive coach.

We have done this before I believe.

No idea whether it's ultimately a good idea, but I'm in favour of bringing innovation to our coaching. As VC alludes to, Paul McShane was given this player-coach role with the U-21s last year. If it accelerates the picking up of senior football know-how at a point when the youngsters aren't ready for senior minutes, that's probably a good thing. Might if nothing else pave the way to hitting the ground running when they go on their first loan spells.

I don't really see a big issue with it, he was a decent premier league midfielder.
The job of ETH is too big to expect him to place huge emphasis with our under 21s right now. With time, one would hope his ideas and how he wants us to play filters down the pyramid.

I'm sure the youth will enjoy working with Loki.

Maybe it'll work out better than the usual route of ex-united players.

How many times did Tom Huddleston dominate Real Madrid in a 4-0 win?
For the record I really like Huddleston as a footballer, he was very gifted, he had the same mobility as HARRY MAGUIRE though
