Murtough

I have an idea for John Murtough so that he can gauge whether a potential signing is who we should be going for.

Open a JA606 account and do a couple of threads a day with a title of “how about Rabiot or how about Arnautovic"

If he is then met by absolute horror by every poster on here then he will know that this is a very bad idea.

A man who came in with David Moyes and Ed Woodward's number 2 are now running one of the biggest clubs in the world. These idiot owners just don't learn at all. Go and appoint best in class and you will get best in class results.

Did not work with Jose, did it?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Worked better than any other manager post SAF. We should have brought in Conte. He’s tamed Levy, I’m sure he could handle our mob
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Did it though? It created more problems for the team with next to no benefit.

Of the signings Jose made, is there a single one that is critical to United today?

He wasted money and mismanaged our players
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Next to no benefit? Made the CL every season he was there, won two trophies and gained more points than any other manager. The guy after him spent more money and left us with more problems than Jose did. And delivered the grand total of zero trophies.

We now are at arguably our lowest point since SAF left and once Jose was sacked the whole culture of the club was supposed to improve. It’s actually worse now.

This has been coming since 2005. If Fergie had retired 5 years earlier we'd have hit rock bottom even sooner than we have done.

Debt isn’t the issue it never has been so stop talking utter bollox. You are correct in that the issue is the muppets the Glazers have appointed. And this isn’t new news.

The money the Glazers have allowed the managers to spend = OK.

The people the Glazers have hired to spend this money = third rate.

Exactly.

We hoped Murtough and his side kick Fletch would change this but it would appear that at this moment it has not.

Still three weeks left in the window to get this right but none of us are rightly filled with confidence.

I do wonder just how much bad influence Judge is having on these negotiations.

Just to add that this is actually a serious suggestion as it is clear to me that these idiots know nothing at all about football.

We've had 1.5billion leave our club since they have taken over.

That's a brand new stadium and half a new squad worth and yet you call me a numpty or dimwit??? You're completely and utterly hopeless with this VC. The Glazers are the worst owners in the PL.

I love how you argue with me on this constantly even though you know I'm right.

The biggest issue for me with the Glazers is the fact they've got so much of the recruitment between them and manager/players wrong.

The debt, I believe, is being kept for tax purposes. I guess you could question the morals of that of course.

We'd also, presumably, have had to give shareholders dividends if we went down that route.

I don't mind any owner taking money out of the club but they can't keep neglecting the key things though such as recruitment, stadium, general infrastructure etc.

….

I have never disagreed with the fact that they are awful owners.
