Why does a grown ass man get invested in a football team of millionaires? Or goes on a site like this everyday? Most of us accept that whether it’s United circa 2008 or United circa 2022, it really doesn’t matter in the scheme of things and actual life is the most important thing.

But looking objectively at the fall of United since SAF left and it’s ‘embarrassing’ if used in the right context to see just how badly it’s gone. I’m sure one day there will be classes taught about how not to run a football club like this.

We’re a laughing stock at the moment (a real thing believe it or not) and it’s not unwarranted. It’ll one day pass and these things are temporary so I won’t shed any tears but you can’t blame supporters for being annoyed at how badly things are going. Last season was awful and things don’t exactly look like they’ve improved. Hence the annoyance. You’re a positive guy, by all means please stay that way as it’s a good balance to Tears we win but it doesn’t mean there’s no reason to be worried (for lack of a better word) about the state of the club

I'm not being positive here though, just listing what actually has happened (3 potentially good signings).

I just think people should avoid the noise and realise a lot of what they are getting angry about is fabricated. Their stress levels will drop.

Once the window is closed, then revise and react accordingly.

As i've said all summer to UWW, if we only sign those three players... I'd be as frustrated as he is.

The hive mind is an incredible thing.

For example the right wing media in the USA has convinced its followers that the FBI are the devil as opposed to their Former Leader who had his house searched because there was concern he had the countries nuclear secrets stored there.

A guy went to attack an FBI office yesterday and got killed for his trouble.

You only need to see the comments on that twitter post to see the hive mind thinking that's come into focus since Sunday. Every other comment is saying how embarrassing we are.

Are most of our fans really this wet behind the ears?

In fairness, as a club we are embarrassing. Again, I’m not trying to sound Nohlmanlike as I don’t think we’re irredeemably bad but the club are a mess and there shouldn’t be any shame in admitting it.

I agree but the media milk the life out of it. Miguel Delaney somehow has stature despite being one of the biggest fraud journalists out there often writes about transfers that didn’t happen. Very easy to do.

I believe rumours give people the excuse to vent about their frustrations or get hopeful

we are all guilty of indulging in rumours at some point

I generally try not to take rumours on face value unless there is strong credibility like the sancho and now fdj situation

Every journalist and twitter account in the the sporting world will know that an angry UTD fan is more likely to engage and make them money. I'd say 80%+ of what is written about us is pure guff.

It is amazing to me how gullible some fans are to be honest.

I get notifications of all things Utd on my phone. The amount of guff sent to me daily is just ridiculous.

Some of the stories are regurgitated with a few bits and pieces changed.
