If...

It only has two letters but it's a big word!

With the article below about a possible Glazer sale I ask what our feeling would be if...

- The Glazers suddenly got all the decisions right in terms of recruiting football people at the club
- They decide to invest in the stadium and general infrastructure to bring it up to date
- They pledge to reduce the debt (although I'm lead to believe that this isn't really an issue for the club as it's a way of not paying tax. The moral concern about that though a different matter of course).
- They commit to treating it more like a football club than a commercial entity (the funny thing about this though is that if they did run it with the priority on the football they'd almost certainly make more money in the long run!)

Are our feelings so entrenched that we could still not see past this? I'd still have my suspicions about them of course but I'd probably be willing to tolerate them if they did pledge to change things properly.

*Apologies to all who were expecting something about Kipling although I do hope you'll think this article is exceedingly good

It’s been 17 years DC77. 17.
No investment of their own money. 1.5 billion gone out the club, just from interest payments and dividends alone.
There’s nothing to suggest they are gonna change.
I did for a while believed that maybe they would. But they obviously don’t care.
We are simply a cash cow, and they are living the capitalist dream.
They have executed that plan to perfection to milk money away from us. On field matters are not as important. They would never dream of treating Tom Brady and the Buccs like this.
So why do it to one of the biggest sports brands in the world. They saw an opportunity, and they took it.
And only now, regulations are in place so that no other club gets put into the same position.

Enough is enough. They are incompetent. Don’t care.
Get out.

I understand that and yes, it probably is unlikely that they'll change.

I'm just asking in the hypothetical scenario if they did change would we accept it?

Would love to see an All or Nothing on United so we can see how bad it is behind the scenes.

Well hypothetically, these are the things we want them to do… so yes. Surely United would be better positioned for success.

IF.... they were perfect owners and got it all right on and off the pitch, then nobody would be against them.

Never gonna happen. Not with Netflix or Amazon anyway… teams that need to get their name out there, that’s whose that’s for.
UTD are already a global brand, known all over the world.
Best thing to do is keep it in house, with their own crew filming the season. They’d have 100% control with the narrative.
I’m believe Arsenal got paid 10 million by Amazon.
That’s peanuts to UTD and not worth it at all.

If they came in with a bid of say 80-100 million, then maybe UTD would be interested.

It seems they only approach clubs who are happy with life and have nothing to hide.
