What do I like about France 52?. To mention a few...

Joie de vivre
Its very existence winds up the English, right wing, white van man, Brexit, merchants.
Great produce and cuisine
French women don't get fat.
Children behave in restaurants and eat of the menu.
Large (relatively) country, almost a mini-continent.
Best wines
Sparsely populated. Especially in the French Diagonal. Which is good for tourists, and English house buyers, not so for France.
Part of the EU
Iconic road signs.
Great roads and motorways, but toll charges on many.
Great weather in the South.
Unique bright sunlight with huge skies.
Tragic and glorious history. Often the battlefield of Europe for centuries.
Respectful, thinking nation. See above. Especially younger generations. Immaculately kept and non vandalised foreign war cemeteries in Le Nord.
Village life and markets.
Superb supermarkets. Carrefour and Auchen put Tesco and Sainsbury to shame.
Strong trade unions.
Governments usually work in the national interest in times of crisis. Such as now.
High culture and arts.
and finally, my pick .....Napoleon Bonaparte.

cannot say being part of the EU has any baring on it whatsoever, other than the small local producers are probably being propped up by EU subsidies.

I obviously don’t watch as much French TV as you do but I have seen some top quality French stuff on MHZ.

Spiral, The Crimson Rivers, Antigone 34, Les Secrets and a whole series of Murder in Films that showcase the stunning beauty of France.

The murder in films are shared in the making with the BBC. Yes there are some good programmes, but not in the same quantity as the UK, and they have lots of variety shows which are terrible.

What do I like about France 52?. To mention a few...

I had to as those cowards tried to occupy the country (Morocco) of my grand parents in the 1900s and steal resources. My grandfather fought against them and always said one of the most cowardly people in Europe are the French.
