He’ll probably flop if he came but at least we’d still see some unreal skill and flair at times.

Antony is more than just stats, though. I’ve seen some interesting comparisons with Hazard, and anyone that watched Chelsea knew just how brilliant he was a running the attack from the wing even if the stats weren’t grate.

Literally could used any other example tbh but hazard who was averaging 10+ G+A as a teenager. Full of flair but he has never been productive as expected.

Disgusting behaviour. McLaren and Van der Gaag will beat that nonsense out of him within a week on the training ground.

Why would I use any other example when Hazard was the example I wanted to use to illustrate the point about his impact being more than end product?

How can you use as an example a player who's impact surpasses Stats who had one of the most impressive stats at the highest levels of football?

Stats does not say everything but is evidence of ability and impact especially in poor leagues like Hollands

Hazard’s stats weren’t that impressive for most of his time at Chelsea, certainly in comparison to his contemporaries. But he was still the best player in the league despite lacking the end product many expected him to have. And that’s where the comparison with Antony has come.

Antony has a 2 goals and 2 assists in 3 games this season.

Sometimes talented young attacking players get to a stage where their talent begins to translate into goals and assists.

Take Ronaldo for instance and I’m not comparing the 2 but his talent was evident it took him 4-5 seasons as a professional before he started putting in great stats.
