Wolves will be looking to get their first win of the season having now gone 10 games without one.

Hi Spangles

To some extent I agree that Newcastle put us under a lot of pressure - fair play to them for that - but I don’t think we helped ourselves by sitting back deep (looked like a deliberate game management strategy) and being so careless with the ball when we won it back (which we did consistently very well).

Given we were trying to manage a one goal lead (always dangerous) my subs on would have been Dendonker (for his defensive qualities) and Traore (big threat on the break, defenders daren’t leave him alone).

One more thing re our lack of goal threat. I really think we need to get numbers in the box, like we did in the days of Jota and Doherty who both scored their fair share of goals. These days it must be tough being Jimenez - sometimes he looks justifiably frustrated.

I’m not claiming to be any kind of tactical genius but I have watched football for most of my 73 years and studied evolving tactics (favourite book The Inverted Pyramid - by Jonathon Wilson if memory serves).

To me the reasons for our lack of goal threat are pretty obvious and not that difficult to solve. It frustrates me that it’s taking the powers that be so long. We are in danger of spoiling the ship for a lick of tar.

How on earth did this not result in a red card. Both the ref and VAR thought it was ok. Neto lucky not to have a broken leg

Unbelievable DJ, then look at last season with JImmy being sent off for bumping into the Leeds keeper.
No consistency.

To be fair, that still makes it look alot worse than it actually was. Neto ran across him from a blindside when the ball was there to go for. The tackle was made from a standing position without any pace and there wasn't contact with force.

Could have been sent off on another day but can't really complain it went the other way. Particularly when we got away with a blatant penalty in the first half.

Frankly Tam that is complete rubbish. The player went in with a high straight leg and was clearly looking to connect with the player not the ball. Neto was really lucky not to be seriously hurt

Wolves have agreed a deal for striker Sasa Kalajdzic from Stuttgart. Having a medical at Compton tomorrow.

No. What you have written is complete rubbish. There was no intent to only connect with the player at all.

It's also complete rubbish when you wrote that the ref and VAR thought it was ok, after they had given a free kick and a yellow.

It was one of those moments where I don't think VAR would have overruled it either way.
