What about the Rangers?
Absolute dominance. A thoroughly enjoyable day from start to finish, felt the build up in the stadium really got the crowd going.
3 first half goals put the game to bed before the end of the first half in spite of an early setback with Kyogo. While i initially thought Rangers could not be any more jammy i quickly brushed it off because i was confident GG would do a good job.
Some thoughts:
The speed in which we get the ball moving from throw ins etc really caught rangers off guard.
Jota is a superstar, that finish for the second goal was world class.
O'Riley and Hatate what about that pass for the 2nd from MOR?
Rangers turned up with a right laziness about their play, reminded me of how PSV acted towards them, were they caught out or was there an arrogance that they would win?
Lundstram stared at someone, hope he stared at the scoreboard, 4-0 ya squeaky t1t. Nice of him to divert the ball into Abadas path for the first. smirk.
hard to believe abada is 20, much more effective that Ryan "spiders" Kent.
Rangers have work to do on that team, they haven't replaced Aribo , Bassey, or McGregor appropriately. I suppose that will put to bed any schite about McLaughlin being just as good to bed, a covid keeper and thats it. Alan McGregor is a world class keeper for rangers, can't replace that with mediocrity.
Alfredo Morelos get the feeling the clear the air talks and change in GVB's attitude toward him is as a direct result of realising he wasn't gettin any champions league cash to spend.
4-0 but a lot of football to be played, pleasing though.

I genuinely don’t know mate but apparently the clubs have to vote by tonight in this; with 11-1 and a number of Championship clubs voting being sufficient.
Rangers allegedly are happy with the deal but want an official apology and their court fees reimbursed over the Cinch debacle before they’ll sign up.
Think there’s also an agreement for clubs to sell some of their own fixtures although how that works I’ll never know. Gets into the minefield of maybe needing the opponents permission.

I honestly don’t think anyone else would bid for it.
Although why we/they don’t wait until we see how the two clubs get on in the CL, I don’t know.
It’s the ideal opportunity to raise the profile of our game. If we don’t, then we know where we are. If we do, it may put us in a better position.
For the sake of a couple of months it’s worth it in my mind.

Completely different starting positions. They set their stall out years ago so it either improves or it gets dropped. We have started with a massive gap and to try and bridge that will be extremely difficult.
For me I wish we’d bin it and go back to evening highlights.
