Leicester model

How's that working out?

As the owners have stated. They see Leicester as a sort of role model for our club to follow in regards to buying and selling players, hoping to reach there position in the Premier league. That made sense 2 seasons ago, but shouldn't we now be adopting the Brighton model? They have the 2nd cheapest built squad in the league above only Brentford, yet are punching well above there weight once again. Like us, they sold 2 key players and relied on those that have been there for several seasons such as Grob, Trossard, March, Dunk, Welbeck etc. Yet they still manage to play good football week out without having to play centre backs at full back and they don't get beat 5-2 very often.

Not sure Leicester are a club to model ourselves on, they look in a spot of bother atm. Ofcourse once Rodgers go they'll win 3 on the spin 🙄

Btw, if we could only emulate Brentford …

Just don't appoint Rodgers, you'll be fine

Rodgers has lost the dressing room.
A few players have left, but quite a few also wanted out.
Financial trouble…that’s players and agents sucking clubs dry.

He's also presided over some of the worst signings in recent history and has ultimately failed miserably to hold on to tactics that worked previously.

It's not all on Rodgers as you say - the whole coaching and medical set-up is failing in its duties and the DOF is much maligned and surely his time is up.

Even the Chairman, Top, shouldn't be immune from criticism, especially if he doesn't act decisively in the coming days.

Rodgers, though, is just a younger version of Mourinho. He has tremendous impact for the first 12 months, the second 12 months he lives off the success of the first 12 months. But that's when the problems come.

The signings he makes in those first two years are generally very poor and this starts to shine through. Couple that with Rodgers' insistence on having his own (failed) medical team around him also results in countless niggling injuries that compound the situation.

The result? After 3 years it's everyone else's fault but his own. In the last week alone he has publicly blamed the owners and even now is blaming the fans.

That medical model sounds alarmingly like ours. Are you sure your medical team isn't double-jobbing at Elland Road?
