Firstly, I hereby christen him Nantony before anyone else
Nantony
/ˈnanto(n)y/
Noun
1.
A selfish player who scores woldies..
"Nantony scored the winner at Anfield in front of disillusioned Liverpool fans"
Secondly, it’s uncanny. Not the paciest but tricky AF and so selfish he may well get punched by a teammate before seasons end. On the plus side he’s always a thunderbolt away from making the fans jaws drop. All he needs is a stunning front flip celebration and to be offside while tapping in a Ronaldo top class goal.
Anyone else think Antony and Nani are basically the same player?

There was about an 18-month period where Nani had reached a level of consistency and was pretty awesome.
If Antony gets to that level (for a longer period ofc) I'd be reasonably satisfied.

FFS Robb. Does this mean I have to hate him now?

He looks like a less talented version of Pepe to me. And Pepe unfortunately couldn’t hack it in this league.

You have to hand it to Robb, he is trying his best to out do Arab with effeminate sounding nicknames.

Well he has played 148 minutes in the PL so far and scored against Arsenal and City. Not a bad start for him.

I didn’t think 85 million for Anthony was good business at all, tbh. He dribbles a bit, if he can’t cut inside and shoot he turns and passes backwards.
He’s scored a couple of goals and there’s still a very long way to go but he looks incredibly one-dimensional.

I don't know what that dimension would it be if there is one. Antony is the definition of average as an attacking forward. There is no comparison with Luis Nani. Nani, apart from decision making, had everything to be as class as Ronaldo.

Pepe bossed it last season with 1 goal all season against wolves. The bar is high.

Sorry, yes. On this board everyone has to hate at least one player. And your Nani legacy made it an easy choice
