I am fairly happy with the way the

season has gone thus far, other than the odd blip like yesterday, pretty well gone as good as I could have hoped. Spurs may not be exactly playing champagne football every game, but name me a side that does? Most teams have the odd good game, then mostly grind out results, not much different to Spurs.

It`s not perfect by a long way, but the one thing that does annoy me is the slow transition of the ball from Lloris to the defence to the forwards. Lloris had a really good game yesterday, but kept on just giving the ball to one of the defenders, who then plods about with it, passing it across the defence, and moving about a yard up the pitch, before losing the ball. Our CBs are far too slow, they simply do not move the ball quickly enough. Transition from back to front needs to be so much quicker.

Obviously a decent creative midfielder may be a big help, but Spurs don`t have that right now, so up to the defence to get the ball to the attackers quicker. Just dawdling about with the ball at the back, is asking for trouble most of the time, and is a gift to the opposition.

Anyway, I expect a reaction against Newcastle, usually the Spurs way after a defeat, and beat Sporting next week, then qualification for the knockout stages of the CL will be secured a week early, so can then rest players for the last match. Frankly whether Spurs finish 1st or 2nd doesn`t really matter. Knockout stages will be difficult, whoever they draw.

Not all downbeat, hopefully Kulu and Richarlison are back very soon, which will make a difference.

I’m surprised you consider yesterday a blip and not the kind of mauling our performances thus far have deserved. 6-0 would have flattered us to be honest, let alone 2-0. United had an effort at goal 28 times. That’s roughly every three minutes. It’s astonishingly poor and neither the players nor the manager should blame each other. It’s the fault of everyone at the club, owners, recruitment, players, manager. Everything. Last night was not a one off blip. It’s what we’ve had coming all season.

Also, you referred to 1st and 2nd. 😂 Do you honestly think we’re finishing that high? Mate, we’re not even getting CL. Mark my words.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I thought you were done with Spurs, Fridgeboy. So why you even commenting?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Never done with Spurs. Am done with the current direction of travel. Playing this way and picking up results is just about bearable but losing and playing awful stuff is just horrendous.

I was getting the train home from work yesterday about to get off at Ally Pally and I overheard an Arsenal fan (he had an Arsenal jacket on) saying "yeah, they lost to United last night 2-0. Mate, they were diabolical, awful". Even other clubs fans are noticing how terrible we are so they're looking at it a bit more objectively than we would and that objectivity is even further pronounced at clubs that aren't our rivals.

It's worth reminding you again Sandy, that I'm not a serial moaner despite what you may think about more recent comments. For five years you didn't hear a peep from me on that front. I was happy with Poch and didn't want him sacked. Negativity isn't the hallmark of a person's general mindset, it's a representation of their thoughts on a specific subject. You were Mr Negative about Poch and I'm Mr Negative post-Poch. It's just about not being particularly happy with the status quo. Any accusations you throw at me I could throw back to you in 2019, when we finished fourth and got in the CL final.

So just wind your neck on this negative stuff as it's getting boring mate. You're just as culpable, if not more so. I don't think we've been heading in the right direction for 3 years now. Project 'serial winner' hasn't really worked has it?!!!!! So I'm allowed a rant or two.

One things for sure, there's a wind of change is coming. There's a growing unrest amongst Spurs fans. The Conte disciples are beginning to doubt. There's only so much of what we're seeing that we're prepared to put up with.

Kulu not back this weekend but Royal is. The joys
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I think we can forget about Kulu for weeks now. If the club say he is not quite ready, that usually means six months. I doubt we will see Kulu again this year. I just wish they would be trueful with the supporters.

You had to get your bit in about an Arsenal fan slagging us off. Surprise, surprise from an Arsenal fan pretending to support Spurs.

What Arsenal fan in their right mind would watch this many Spurs games and comment pretty much only in the Spurs forum. I've been here since the move from BBC 606. That's a long time to keep up a fake profile. I hate to break it to you Sandy. I am just a disgruntled Spurs fan that has the ability to recognise the progress of other clubs, be them rivals or not. Take your head out of the sand and you might spot it too.

Conte has hardly had any time and the results have been fined overall. The United loss was bad but this is a serious overreaction.

Let’s just see where this goes as I’m getting Jose vibes. There’s no point trying to convince you now but I’m just calling it early as I can see where this is heading. I’m not demanding instant results. They come after you get it right on the pitch. I pay more attention to performances, patterns of play, cohesion, style and in the early days under Poch, after a couple of months even, we all saw a drastic difference beginning to occur. I’m not seeing any progress on the pitch under Conte. None. We’re winning games just about, but we shouldn’t be. Conte was calling United a monster we couldn’t compete with. Are you kidding me? They’re in the Europa league and had an atrocious window. How dare he say that. Like I say, Jose vibes and Jose excuses. But no one will be happier than me should I be proved wrong. I’m 99.9% certain I won’t be though.
