I'm assuming this is hitting the Glazers hard, especially as all of theirs are mortgaged to the hilt (sound familiar?)

Fingers crossed they'll need the money from a sale sooner rather than later.
Sell up and off you f_ck
American shopping malls are dying out

Maybe high street shops closing down is a good thing in terms of actually having a space that people can go to and not have the main purpose to buy things. Replace shops with parks, galleries, museums and other things people can enjoy and engage with.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well that costs money and will need local Councils with vision and money to deliver such plans.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Shopping and working patterns are changing, and there are going to be lots of empty units in town centers, leisure can't fill them all and councils haven't got any money.

The high street/shopping centres are dying here in the UK too, half of the high street is either closed down stores or closed down stores being replaced by phone repair shops or coffee shops
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This depends where you are in the UK. I was back there recently for few weeks and only found a few high streets that were half empty. Galasheils and Greenock.
Edinburgh, Glasgow, Peebles and most of the Scottish Borders towns and villages were rocking.
In England both Ipswich and Colchester were busy with only the odd store or two closed. Most of the small towns and villages in Essex that I saw were also busy. The one I spent most of my youth in still has its four pubs open.
I read on here nearly every day that the UK is on its last legs and the Mrs and I found that not to be true at all. Far from it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
High Streets are on the decline and pubs are closing everywhere all over the UK and its a major issue.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Obviously it isn’t all of the UK as I have seen for myself.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You obviously picked the right places to visit!
But generally its become a massive problem in the UK cause by on-line shopping in the main.

Can back Vidic here as the southampton/new forest area was heaving last November in every high street, moreso than I ever remember but that may just be that there are more coffee lovers nowadays.

I'm known for offering to drop my trousers in that establishment if I get something wrong... This particular avenue of pleasure has been taken away from me now
