Genuine VAR questions

Ok, so I'm trying and failing to get any sort of clarity relating to last nights decision. There are a couple huge questions over the VAR images they released. Search any media outlet for the image or find the video, they all show the same thing.

https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/tottenham-sporting-lisbon-kane-offside-28339575
This is the first google result I found which has the image (in an article explaining why they say it was the correct decision so it's not biased in Spurs favour etc), but feel free to look up the image anywhere else.

Two key questions:

1) Why has a grey line been drawn on, covering where the ball should be? You can see it on Emersons back, and then in front of his head where the ball should be. Why is that there? I've never that before in other VAR reviews?

2) Why does the blue dotted line (the one which allegedly is in line with the ball) move backwards near the very bottom? ie moving further away from the red line than it would if it continued straight downwards?

I don't buy into any sort of 'conspiracy against Spurs' nonsense. But both of these issues make no sense to me.

The first thread showed that several people have come to the same conclusion about you. You frequently get destroyed on here.

I am just here refereeing now to make sure you don't get away with the tactic of claiming you won a debate by virtue of having the last word, as you just did with welshpool.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

The only person who cares about the last word is welshpool.

But at least he has a forum troll in you to defend him... it's sweet.

By the way, 'topform' for completely ignoring that I was indeed correct, and that the first link proves I don't care about the last word.

This really is too easy at times.

oooh look there it is again - the last word and 'this is too easy'.

the usual nonsensical claim that you've somehow won a debate that you've blatantly lost.

Wow, quite unlike Winston to accept defeat so easily.

That’s quite the accomplishment.

Maybe step back and consider why you can’t just admit you made a mistake and move on.

This is absolute insanity coming from winston

this is the link that proves you can walk away without the last word?

Oh yes, because the objective view of a troll who can’t leave me alone is the view we’re all waiting for, isn’t it?

My argument was with ioag. I didn’t need the last word, and I walked away.

Whether I rejoined the thread and debated with other people doesn’t change that fact.

Let me know if you need more help with this.

That's like an alcoholic giving up booze for one day to prove they're not an alcoholic.

As noted by several people and evidenced on this thread once again, you are a lastwordaholic.

posted on 3/11/22

So now you’re admitting that I did walk away and didn’t need the last word?

That lasted long. Great work, troll.

Okay, so we're done here aren't we?

I proved I don't need the last word and I proved that I do admit when I'm wrong.

You tried to argue it and now you're resorted to this mess.

Yet another attempt for you to take me on, and yet another case of me schooling you.

Better luck next time, troll.
