In true Halloween fashion, I wanted to open a thread for users of the forum to scare any true scary stories.
I don't believe in ghosts but some weird things have happened to me. Once in Chorlton and once in a pub when it was England vs Slovenia in the 2010 World Cup, remember when Defoe scored??
Essentially the same thing happened twice, I felt someone pat me on the top of the head and as I turned around there was absolutely nobody there.
In Chorlton it happened in the alleyway behind Star Pizza, so I assumed maybe something had fallen out of a tree above me; as I stopped and looked up there were no tree branches or anything above me at all.
In 2010 the pub I was in when it happened is also meant to be haunted!

I had someone claim to be a ghost but I didn't believe him. He kept saying "I promise, I am a ghost". But I could see right through him.

I do love reading ghost stories and stuff, I think they can usually be explained logically but I do subscribe to the thinking that some stuff goes on around us that we don't have the sense to see in any traditional way that we can comprehend.
Only one I have is when I was like 18 a bunch of us took a bunch of Frosty Jack and went messing around in this half demolished mental hospital one night. Was a fun jovial night until we got into one patient room and my phone started ringing. Apparently the call was from my mate who was in the room with me and when checking his phone, wasn't calling anyone. I picked up and it was just this weird dead air screeching noise, which got us freaking out and we then noticed 'GET OUT' written on the walls in red.
Almost certainly a coincidence followed by some graffiti by someone hoping to freak people out, but it made for a perfect storm in the moment and I was freaked out for a while.

Another true story that happened to me:
I was smashing a girl from Newton Heath who said her house was haunted. Anyway her bedroom was on the top floor and on the way leading to her room there was an electric heater on the floor turned on.
We were going upstairs to 'close the sale' so I made sure I turned the heater off at the plug. Anyway after we'd 'closed the sale' (insert joke about X amount of minutes later) I came down stairs and back past the heater to her bathroom.
As I went for a p*ss I could hear a bit of a faint sound. Anyway I washed hands and came back out, to be met by the blast of the heat from the plug in heater.
She didn't seem surprised and said the house was haunted. I 100% turned it off at the plug.
True story

After my dad died we had some weird shat go down at the house. The loft hatch inexplicably was open one night when i went to bed. My mum had a necklace with a cross which just fell off one night, the chain was intact so that was odd and we had a cold spot in the front room. It made rubbing one out a little awkward as well after those things happened.

Only saw ectoplasm one time when the bedroom door wasn't locked and I walked in. Mum had it all over her face. This ghost meant business I think.
