PSVR 2 launch date and price announced

OK, anyone who knows me will know I enjoy VR and have been looking forward to Sony's new PSVR2 headset.

Well now we have a date and a price, for their next generation headset.

Set to launch February 22nd 2023, at a price in the UK of £529, or £569 for the Horizon call of the Mountain bundle. It is fair to say this not a cheap headset, but I think the price reflects the technology that has been packed into it, and I am happy to see they haven't skipped on the specs to save money.

I'm sure it may prove a bit out of many peoples budget, but I'm sure prices will fall over time. I will get one as soon as possible, and will post a review as and when, answering questions and comparing my experience with PSVR2 and the original PSVR.

I should add there will also be a charging station available for the controllers for £39.99. obviously not required, but more convenient.

Depends on the player and the game. Some will cope better than others. But you can gain your VR legs if you take it slow.

So it is a petsonal thing not a tech thing?

My buddy Portogese Dave was sll over it butt the nausea was bad n he had too stop

Yes some will have to take their time gaining their VR legs. Others it won't bother them at all. For me I had to ease myself into it. don't rush it is the key.

Well I finally got an email inviting me to pre order PSVR2 . So expecting delivery somewhere between 22nd and 28th of Feb.

Will post my thoughts when it arrives

Any particular games pre ordered for its launch too?

No games, just the VR unit. It wasn't my email that Sony responded to, but I got my daughter to register too, and she got the Pre order email. So she has ordered it for me.

I will definitely be getting Resident Evil, and I do know some of the PSVR 1 titles are getting free upgrades. So hopefully some of my old games will work. I'll see what's available at launch.
