Team News
Leeds United
Leeds will still be without a number of players for the trip to London.

Patrick Bamford (hip) is still not fit while Mateusz Klich picked up a knee injury in the midweek defeat by Wolves – and they are joined by Stuart Dallas (broken leg) and Adam Forshaw (ankle) in the treatment room.

Jack Harrison is a doubt with a muscle strain but Joe Gelhardt is fit despite limping off at Molineux.

Spurs
Ryan Sessegnon will miss out when Tottenham host Leeds in the Premier League on Saturday.

Sessegnon sustained a minor hamstring injury during the midweek Carabao Cup loss at Nottingham Forest.

Cristian Romero (calf) and Son Heung-min (facial) are also set to be absent, but Dejan Kulusevski and Richarlison featured off the bench on Wednesday and are pushing to start.

MATCH FACTS
Head-to-head

Leeds have lost seven of their past nine Premier League games versus Spurs, winning once.
The Whites have lost five consecutive Premier League away matches in this fixture since a 2-1 victory at White Hart Lane in February 2001.

Tottenham Hotspur
Three defeats in four league matches is as many as in their previous 24 top-flight fixtures.
Spurs are winless in three home matches in all competitions, directly following a 10-game competitive home winning streak.
They could lose three consecutive home league matches for the first time since May to September 2008.
Tottenham have failed to score in the first half of each of their past eight games in all competitions.
Harry Kane is the first Spurs player to have scored in six consecutive top-flight home fixtures since Martin Chivers had a run of seven from August to November 1971.

Leeds United
Leeds have won successive Premier League games, after a run of two points from their previous eight outings.
Since returning to the top flight in 2020, Leeds have conceded 34 goals in their 14 league matches in London.
Rodrigo and Crysencio Summerville have both scored in Leeds' last three Premier League games. The last Leeds player to score in four successive games was Mark Viduka in 2004.

A tough game to see us into the World Cup break, Spurs will be looking to improve on their last few home games and we'll be looking keep our decent run going a lot of confidence in the Leeds Camp despite the loss to Wolves in the cup so I'm going for a 1-2 Scoreline with Young Sam and Roca scoring for us (would Love another London scalp )

Not being precious. You’re being lazy blaming the left and right back. It’s the same as the lazy circa 2020 argument that we have no shape or pulse unless glass
Bamford’s playing. Players played their hearts out today. We were well worth a point. The goals (outside of the first) were a collective breakdown. The LCB was at fault for two goals. Losing his man and not tackling. But,
He also played his heart out and stopped other attacks.

Add to that our right and left backs we’re crucial in
Attack all game long. Yes we need a specialist LB in
January. But making a lazy blanket statement on why
We lost is ridiculous.

At least we had 3 moments of joy. The lads played well in an exciting match.
Shame about the points.
Thanks for doing the thread as ever, Highland
Goodnight all

First goal for Spurs should have been ruled out and then we're 2 nil up at HT and it's a different game confidence wise although Spurs like us last week may still have come back, we'll never know, ifs and buts and why did JM take Rocca off when we're 3-2 up?
All in all we have a half decent side that on the evidence of the last few games although our defence is suspect to say the least we should still comfortably stay up
----------------------------------------------------------------------

First goal shouldn’t have stood I agree, but we would still have had a spell in the second half, we have been doing this for weeks now.

My pre match prediction was 4-2, so not far off, and I will repeat what I said at the time, Leeds will cause us loads of problems going forwards as we are awful at the back, but thankfully so are Leeds so we will always have a chance.

Fortunately for you guys, teams that can score goals usually stay up, you just need to shore up that defence and you will be fine. As for us, well I don’t know, you can’t possibly finish top 4 doing that every week, we only have 1 defender in Romero who is good enough at this level and that was evident again today
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes hard to disagree with you there. We are an exciting watch though, despite our defensive frailties which unfortunately meant today it was our turn to come out losers in a 7 goal thriller.

I can see City and Arsenal definitely being top 2 not sure in which order and your boyz fighting it out with Newcastle and Liverpool for 3rd and 4th.

Luckily your club has funds to improve your chances of finishing in the Champions league places while our cash strapped owner is the polar opposite unless he sells up immediately to new American owners.

Time will tell but as disappointed as Leeds fans are tonight there is definitely a more positive outlook on our likelihood of not getting relegated than there was a few weeks ago when it was all doom and gloom.

We have discovered 2 or 3 young lads who have risen to the challenge and given us more of a goal threat.
We just need to find at least 2 new better defenders and then we will kick on this season and next season nearer the top 6 than the bottom six.

Squad imbalance is weakening our options in team selection. Where's Cardiff's Player of the Year these days? We have 3 right backs competing for one place while our recognised left-back can't dislodge a centre half playing out of position.

We are second highest scorers in the bottom half of the table but 4th worst defence on goals conceded. Last season's problems are still there regarding defence. The only difference is we're not getting pasted every week.

Tactics and formations are all very well but surely a solid defence should be the foundation on which a team is built.

Firstly, like Bielsa, is Marsch prepared to sacrifice or tweak his footballing philosophy to make us harder to beat?

Secondly, does he have the players to do it?

You are comfortably better than Forest, Wolves, Everton Southampton so I really don’t think you will struggle.

Going forwards you are a great watch and made us look entertaining for the first time in weeks.

Good luck and see you final game

Batty, we got done out wide, our left back side was totally exposed , we are playing a centre back there, so I don’t really know how I’m being lazy? I’m not saying it’s the only reason, but we can’t defend like that in this league. Our specialist left back Firpo is being dropped for a centre back and it’s been a problem for years for us.

Why can’t I have that opinion, but you hammer Bamford all the time, constantly, which is really odd by the way as he barely even plays now due to injury.

Attacking wise today we were very good. Defensively today was not very good but against the majority of the bottom half teams we would more than likely have not been as exposed as we were by Spurs a top 4 side, is what I'm hanging onto.

I think overall the team has turned a corner and however gutting to lose so late in the game today , it's not the end of the world and all doom and gloom like we all felt after Fulham.

I think the same team today would not have lost to Palace, Leicester or Fulham as we would have at least salvaged a draw in those games as offensively we have improved significantly.

Wetherby, first off, apologies. Frustrated. IMO,
the lads gave everything. And have since Messiah's
days here. Why can't we once in a while, as fans,
acknowledge that? I felt we got done by things we
can't control. And some things we can.

I'm of the opinion that we attack as a team. And
we defend as a team. There were collective
breakdowns. Yes they started out wide. But,
so many attacks do. That's football. Not isolated
to our team, today.

I agree with you on LB. It's well documented on here
that I think Firpo is sh 1 t. And he is. It's borderline
fact these days. And we need a new LB in January.
So that we can employ Struijk at LCB.

I know it's all opinion. And I absolutely hammer on
Bamford. He's one of the highest earners at the club.
No apologies there from me. He's a waste of
precious resources and he's hardly ever been
available for two seasons now. And when he is,
he makes Firpo's contributions look good.

Basically, and again, sorry for attacking you.
I shouldn't have singled you out. In the heat of the
moment. After watching what I felt was a really
good performance that deserved at least a point.
