Happy with a point as it maintains our 9 point lead but disappointed with our overall play. The bears were given hope from Hart’s brain fart (again) and we lost the plot after that. Hey ho happy new year

We’ve not been playing “that well” for some time if you discount the mid week mauling of one of the most atrocious Hibs teams there has been for god knows how long.
But get out of jail? Debatable penalties on both sides and the game fairly evenly split I’d suggest.

Evenly split 20 mins to 70

When Celtic have not been playing well against Rangers at Ibrox and losing 2-1, to snatch an equaliser in the 88th minute is what I call getting out of jail.

Considering we always score late goals why is anyone surprised?
1st half we should have been out of sight but for poor finishing. Second half we had a bad 8 mins but after that we always looked like scoring.
Penalty decisions didnt help us but a neutral ref and that game finishes 3-1 to us.
Sky had to talk rangers up as they want to talk up a league challenge but its just not happening.

Rangers could, and should have won that game. Celtic could have won that game.

I agree either team could have taken the points.
Usually i would say we should be more disappointed but it at least feels like a Rangers team on the up again so i'm not. I think we will only get better now.

Not saying it’s a good tackle because he didn’t make contact with the rangers player, the rangers player made contact with him.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So the Rangers player is in control of the ball, Starfelt slides in completely misses the ball, clearly impedes Sakala by sliding under his foot so he can’t stand on it, and takes his foot away from him. But it’s not a foul? Genuinely find this take mental, it’s the most basic foul.

Celtic controlled the first half but we had better chances, two of those big chances were free headers from corners though.
Second half we were the better team. But after changes felt like Celtic were always going to score.
Much better for us than under Gio, but clearly still need to improve to catch up to Celtic. Big difference was Celtic brought on players that could’ve just as easily started, we had pash to bring on. And the simple mistakes our players still made.

Time will tell if Beale’s the real deal or just talks a good game. He had a great start at QPR for a couple of months or so (briefly top of the table) before it turned pretty meh … now languishing 12th. As I said, time will tell, but I’m expecting Celtic’s performance levels to go up a gear again as we kick on from here.

I'm looking forward to seeing the 2/3 starters he plans on bringing in this window.
One has got to be a midfielder and again another attempt at solving the RW position.
Keeper doesn't look like it's happening so a second midfielder or another striker please.

Makes sense to me. Rangers player exaggerates where foot should land, to make contact with Celtic player. Normally, if player was good enough, he would plant foot in normal place and carry on to score goal 👍😁
