Apparently Felix’s red card will cost Chelsea 2.1m in both his loan fee and the fact they’re covering his wages.
Made me think who’s red card cost the most financially in the history of the PL?
Keane obviously got in the end 8 matches total for the Haaland tackle but I believe he was on around 150k then so it works out around 1.2m
Anyone think of any others?
Most expensive red cards of all time?

Drogba sending off UCL final?

I suggested this one earlier. He surely would have taken a pen and maybe won it for them.

This loan deal is so odd, no ability to buy the player if all goes well... Whole things stinks of money laundering/FFP re-shuffling.
Not sure about the most costly red card, but I am sure there have been some that have turned important games so the club go on to lose a trophy, CL football etc?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think it's just desperation from Chelsea. United and Arsenal explored the deal and said it was too pricey.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I can understand it being odd from the buying club's POV. But it's no secret that Atleti want to sell him. Except they want to recoup as much of the fee they paid as possible - Which at the moment no club is going to pay. So I doubt an option to buy could ever be agreed right now.

Yeah Sim only has a job for life at Atleti

Have u seen his weekly salary at athleti? It's a serious chunk. No manager has a job for life at that annual wage. He is def not unsackable.
