Yeah might as well go for insurance fraud instead of tax evasion.
Still if they pay the premium after the event they may get away with it. Not.

While I cannot recall all the facts surrounding this tragic case I do remember feeling disappointed (to put it mildly) about Cardiff's behaviour and comments after the crash. I wonder what would have happened viz-a-viz EFL if it had been DCFC and not Cardiff, even before all our well-documented disputes started to surface.
It places Cardiff on a par with Middlesborough and Wycombe in the making of spurious claims stakes. I hope Cardiff's case is dismissed.

Is that on a par with 'settling with HMRC' when you've allegedly been a naughty boy?

As an aside, we have friends where the father died of a stroke the weekend he changed jobs as a lawyer. This was about 6 years ago and the case is still in the courts as to which firm was responsible for the insurance or none at all. The family are in all sorts of money trouble. Guy was an alkie and tbf no major surprise he died young but also no surprise he died without arrangements, cover and in debt. Nevertheless.
Never resign with a Friday date and not sign with your new company until the Monday or indeed have any gap assuming your employer has life insurance for you. Always make sure there is overlap. Make it a condition of acceptance if they really want you. Take temporary cover if there is any unavoidable gap.
