The Last of Us

Having played the game, I was looking forwards to the series. 2 episodes in so far and enjoying it. The missus wasn't so sure she wanted to watch another zombie series, but I explained that if it is loyal to the game then it should be quite different to TWD etc. She has still moaned that it is a bit slow.

The only slight gripe I have is that I can't really associate the actress with the game version/character of Ellie. But she is still a good actress and did a fine job in GOT. Looking forwards to the rest of the series - just annoying that I can't binge it all.

I was scrolling through Twitter yesterday and some knooobbb said ‘ffs, The Last of Us has gone all woke, I can’t watch anymore’ or something like that.

Just because of the plot point of episode 3. Some people are such caaaants.

As has been said Offermans performance is as good as any performance in a tv show. As good as any can think of anyway

I'm not saying it isn't. But nowadays wokeness seems prerequisite for The Guardian to rave about any cultural product. Whether a show, film,play, musical act, book ... you can fully expect it to be marked up or down depending on that factor alone.

dont know. I dont read into that stuff too much, which is pretty much the other spectrum of it. And I certainly dont follow the guardian !

Yeah they didn’t just expand on bill and franks story from the game they completely re wrote it.

I do, but their habit of shining everything through that woke prism of theirs is just so tiresome.
