Investment in the team

First off not a spurs fan.

But in my opinion you guys need to sell Kane right now or in the summer. Kane is no longer a spring chicken. The more money you can get for him now the better. With the money you get for him you can reinvest in the team and get younger talent to go forward again.

Also it's not just Kane that needs to go but maybe some others too who are holding the team back.

Money isn’t the issue

The problem is we will try and replace Kane with Louis Saha and Ryan Nelsen

I'd prefer HK10 to stay obviously but as above it would matter if we 200 mil for him....

I wouldn't trust levy/ricci or whoever to get it anything like right.

Flatrack is a huge part of the problem at Spurs. He has been for the last two years. He needs to go in the summer.

Another huge issue is the cash that is being sucked out of the club to service the £1.2b debt on their White Elephant Lane stadium.

The stadium debt is financed totally away from the football finances and has been deliberately set up in such a way that should not affect the club being run competitively.

well if Kane goes-good luck to him-he would go with my full blessing.

from a club perspective-we should not force him out just for a bit of cash. if he goes we finish 10th. the incremental value per year is probably 175mil.

If Kane goes, as long as it’s not a London club he has my full blessing and will remain a club legend in my eyes.

One of the least fortunate players I can ever remember, getting stuck with a chairman like ours who won’t build around him and somehow talks him into a 6 year contract.

That said, I suspect Levy will hold him to his final year

Don't think we'd sell domestically.

Its a false economy to sell Kane to fund a rebuild because even if you get £100m you are going to need £60m of that to replace him as an absolute minimum. Any selling club will hold us over a barrel if we have the Kane money burning a hole.

I dont think Kane will end his career abroad.

We'd be much better advised to sell half a dozen players and buy CB x 2, AM, GK. Give it one big last crack with Kane and hope he sees some hope and signs a new deal.

If it comes to nought he leaves with everyone's blessing, aged 32 to whatever club he choses! and they will still be lining up for him.

All of this would be helped enormously by getting a new manager in now, getting a new approach, bringing some joy and optimism, identifying targets, raising the money and getting deals done to hit the ground running next season. Fat chance
