Junior Doctor Strikes

Hello, just wondering what everyone's opinions of the JD strikes are - they will be striking for a continuous 72 hours starting from 7AM tomorrow morning and will be withdrawing ALL care, including emergency services (in 2016 when they went on strike, they were still providing emergency services). Day to day and elective services (operations, clinic appointments, etc) are cancelled with consultants and other senior doctors stepping in to cover.

A 25% "pay-restoration" is being demanded which seems quite high and unlikely to be negotiated to that level.

Hardly any media coverage of this the entire day, appalling. Yet the fact that Linekar will be returning to MOTD is front page headlines.

The ulna does not articulate with the metacarpal bones in the wrist.
Oh damn. Have they fallen out again?

Yes? It should have been carpals but it's 40 years since I had to think about that sort of thing.

84k for an MP is fvck all, no wonder they are all absolute shiiiiit. The clever people we would want running this country earn far more in proper jobs.

Junior doctors are paid far too little, back the strike.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Nonsense!!!!

When you factor in their expenses it's much higher. It's also 3 times the national average salary. How is that amount F all? Anyone should be able to live a fantastic life in this country on 84k a year plus expenses.

People who work in Canary wharf and earn 7 figures aren't really the barometer. They are the exception to the rule.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It’s 600 people that literally run the country. £84k is pittance. They should be on £500k and have expenses removed.

£84k is about £80k too much for clowns like 30p Lee and Matt Hancock.

The only reason that I vote is because so many people fought and died to give us that right. If the party I vote for loses I accept that is the choice of the majority. I don't whinge and cry about it. I also don't like the term "Opposition Party" as that infers that no matter what the Government do, they will oppose it irrespective of its merits.
I realise that many posters on here are Labour voters but one or two are actually intelligent and do not use foul language in their comments.

If you don't have an Opposition Party then you may as well have a dictatorship.

Yeah why won’t everyone just shut the F up and let this lot run the country into the ground?
