Man City v Arsenal

Not won there since 2015
Haaland on 48 goals vs Holding

This could be a massacre of epic proportions
Just try not to be 5-0 down in less than 20 minutes

What strategy? Park the bus ?
Haaland vs Holding

We do have a 1% chance of getting something from this game which is a must win but there is too much pressure

We have a much improved away record this season

CL qualification almost confirmed but will be if Brighton drop points at Forest

Whatever happens tonight its been a great season

Saying that, we are not great at counterattacking football like spurs or united
----------------------------------------------------------------------

We’re schitt - we just have City sussed. Saka, Jesus and Martinelli can cause City nightmares on the counter
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If we had Saliba I'd be more confident, not only in our ability to defend in an organised way, but in terms of executing the transitional play required to expose City.

We get taken to the cleaners every time we play City.
We are also bottling it against everybody atm
Too much pressure
This pressure got to stop
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I do think your issue with City is that essentially Arteta has built Arsenal on what he learned at City - so you are City lite. This is where Arteta has to rip up the play book and try something different because taking them on at their own game, at their own ground with the form they are in is a recipe for disaster

Problem is that Arsenal HAVE to win

We could certainly do with some of the humongous amounts of luck spurs have had against city in the last couple or three years. But it never happens for us against them
----------------------------------------------------------------------

It’s not luck, we’ve stopped them scoring against us for 4 years at home. Thinking it’s luck is why we keep getting away with it.

We play very narrow and compact against them, let them sling in all the crosses they want as they never hurt us - although Haaland is more of a threat than Jesus. We deny them any space, let them have the ball and surrender the whole middle portion of the pitch. We also go man for man - which is why we saw Romero launch out to the half way line just to put a snapping tackle in on Haaland.

We score 1 of 2 goals against them every time without fail.

1. We catch them on the counter
2. We rob the ball off their defence when they are twaaatting about with it on the edge of their own box.

Tottenham vs City is so predictable that it could be a drinking game.

I think Peps beaten us once at our ground and we’ve won 6 or 7 in his tenure - it ain’t luck, we just have a system that works perfectly against them

Arteta's Arsenal is not a 'park the bus' type if team. They haven't trained for it and they will probably be terrible at it unlike the Spurs and Chelsea teams we have faced with defensive minded managers.

Arsenal can beat us but the need to be extremely lucky... and then need to be lucky again at Newcastle...

And we're not really a transitional playing team either, which Spurs, for a period at least, were one of the best teams at.

On the surface you'd think we would be with our fast wingers, but getting the ball to them in the first place is the issue, particularly without saliba.

I don't feel good about it, with the injuries/drops in form our smaller squad has been very exposed and there's lots of weaknesses for City to expose.

Aside from Holding at CB, Xhaka may be out, Partey, Ode, Saka and Zinchenko look to be in bad form and Jesus can't be relied upon to score in the big moments.

Obviously football is a funny game and it can turn around very quickly, but if the form continues we're in trouble.
