Palace v Forest - Match Thread

It’s been a weird few days! From obsessing about permutations…checking results and dreaming of staying in the league…to…absolute calm…and a two day hangover.

Even better is the fact that two of Everton, Leeds and Leicester will go down.

I get up for every game. Probably 95% of them for the 15 years I’ve been in Australia. But…I might just watch the Palace game on repeat!

Last Game Overview: A defensive masterclass.

The Good: Safety!!

The Bad: Just the one goal.

The Ugly: City’s domination..likely fuelled by huge economic irregularities.

Special Mention: The support. The noise. The togetherness of the club and fans. It’s been an absolute joy!

Overall Record:

Currently we stand at W29 D19 L16

Injuries / Signings:

Colback and Shelvey (I still don’t care) could miss out.

Look’s like Navas will miss this one.

Scarpa back in training.

Form:

Palace Home Form – W3 D2 L1 GF8 GA5

Forest Away Form – W0 D1 L5 GF7 GA14

Forest are 1.1 PPG over the last ten games. Palace are 1.7 PPG.

Wouldn’t it be nice to finish the season with an Away win!!

Team:

Hennessy

Worrall Felipe Niakhate

Aurier Yates Danilo Lodi

MGW

Johnson Awoniyi

Prediction:

Could go either way this one. Both just playing for league position. I’m expecting a raucous away following either way.

3-2 to Forest

Well done Awoniyi. He’s been brilliant these past few weeks

If only he had been available all season.

Hope Andre buys his brother a drink for that clearance off our line in the first half.

Ex Derby player Will Hughes equalises with a header, he’s about 3 foot tall for godsake.

The season ends with a bit of a whimper. The season has definitely been a success now Steve Cooper and his staff must plot and plan for a season of consolidation starting in August.

11 points from the last 6 games. Something to build on and for next season.

Improve our away form, consolidate the home form, next season and we’ll be pretty safe.
Great to see a manager and the majority of his staff last a full season at the WFCG, long may it continue.
Full respect to Marinakis for believing in SC, let’s hope we can build and move forward, the signs are looking promising.
Have a great off season everyone, and before you know it we’ll be back on here, with lots more wild predictions and renewed optimism.
TTFN.

In a 6 game season, getting 11 points is a great return.
In a 38 game season, not so.
