For me, he should get another chance.
Yes the audio reflects poorly on the young man, but he was very young and Immature at the time.
Clearly an explanation has been presented that meant a jury would not convict. Whilst the significance of this explanation / information isn't known to us, it is clealry significant enough that the 'beyond reasonable doubt' threshold wasn't met, and could have been significant enough that it removed any doubt as to his innocence.
