Just some thoughts on this. Radz paid around 40m for Leeds. He sold out for 56 % of 170m, which is about 95m. That's about 55m profit over 5 years.
In his tenure, he has made about 100m from player sales. He has lost a fortune on the players he bought in. JKA, Costa, DJ, Llorente, Rutter, Firpo, Aaronson, what a mess!!!
However, payments are amortized, and some players are current, so I wonder if there is a separate payment to clear the slate with these?
For sure, we have been far too generous with player contracts. So how much will Radz walk away with?
It would be interesting to hear from our finance-savvy posters, but perhaps it is not as much as we think?
How much did Radz really make?

Salonika, agree.
its always the same posters tho - think I feel a bit sorry for them actually, if they are like this over something thats supposed to be fun (sport, football), imagine what they are like with actual life issues?
I always picture the poster wife coming in, 'oh, Hi, good day?, i just got a lovely steak for our tea? ""WHAT, REALLY, how much would that of cost at Tesco?, was that your 5th Choice steak?, didn;t you know the owner of that shop posted a picture of himself enjoying a tesco icecream, his ego is out of control, how can I possible enjoy this steak?
just open the win ya moaning old g1 t,

At the end of the day the club is in a better state than it was when he turned up and that's why it's worth 3.5x more.
Some say he's a stupid potless chancer and clueless businessman.
If half a billion is potless what are we?
And if he's a clueless businessman how useless am I?
Very easy for fans to be hyperbolic about mistakes and the armchair fan telling everyone how easy it would be to score a penalty in the cup final has now become the armchair owner telling everyone how easy it would be to make £500m, buy a club, and get them into Europe.
Well sir, why haven't you done it then?

"urgh, yet again here I am discussing football ownership again "
Spit, you could always go on the cricket board and start an ownership fight!.

I wouldn't even know who owns the club tbf - makes no odds to how many wickets we'd get, or how many sensational cover drives get through to the boundray

Yes, I've been a fan since the early seventies and have also seen the ups and downs before but I think, after all the changes we've seen in the game, after all the years of us struggling in L1 and the Championship, and then overdosing totally on the brilliance of Bielsa, I've become more of a hostage to my feelings. This drop seems to resonate more loudly somehow.

...Jaz it resonates because unlike 2004 where there was a total financial meltdown, this was totally avoidable and millions were wasted on some bizarre recruitment decisions.

Bang on, Very Rev, but it's a bit more complicated this time for me personally - I'm 60 on Sunday. When we went down in 2004, I could see it would take time to recover but I had plenty of time to wait. This time, we've got to get back up sharpish - if it takes another 16 years I probably won't be here to see it!

Jaz your speaking to someone who was a kid in the 1960/70s so I do understand and have wondered the same - anyway welcome to the 'experienced' club!

I mentioned Newcastles footballing decisions in my response above. Think they heard me …….
“Leeds United name Nick Hammond as interim football advisor. Three-month deal to oversee this transfer window.
Occupied similar role at Newcastle in Jan '22. Leeds reviewing recruitment department before replacing Victor Orta long-term.”

Two things I've learned from being a Leeds fan since 1970.
1) When we get relegated, we stay relegated.
2) As bad as some of the decisions we made around Rutter and JKA were, we have the unerring ability not to learn from our mistakes. Remember Thomas Brolin and Seth Johnson, anyone?
Fasten up, it's gonna get bumpy, boys and girls.
