Hip Hip Hooray

Myself and Mrs 52 decided to get the bikes out Monday evening, lovely weather and they haven't been used much, with COVID, poor weather, and minor illnesses.
Anyway I fell off and fractured my hip, ambulance to hospital, successful op Tues afternoon. I now have three weeks learning to walk again.
No problems, except how much will it cost, nobody will tell, they say it depends on XYZ, but I know it will be thousands.
Keep the NHS going boys, you don't know how lucky you are to have.
Still the treatment is excellent, second time in s Caen hospital and I must say I'm impressed. If it was free I'd break my other hip and have a holiday here.

Sorry to hear that 52, injuries like that in your later years can take their toll. Get well soon

Cinci, you're a right Captain Positivity, aren’t you?

My mum in law broke her hip 7 or 8 years ago. She's in her early 80s now and doing just fine.

I’m surprised he’s not put a bid in for the bike.

Oh my, 52. That’s not good at our age. Mucha suerte, amigo.

But hang on, we’re both legally resident in our respective EU countries, and were so before Brexit - so nothing has changed for us.

My cancer treatment here in Palma has been Star Trek level - and free. I do know that it is the same in La France.

Why are you paying “fackin’ Farsands” for RTA treatment? Even tourists only pay €11 euros for an ambulance.

???

For cancer and heart all is 100% paid by the state. But for none mortal illnesses it is 80%
You can pay s mutual for the rest but with my age and problems it's exorbitant

I hope you get well soon good sir. You are made of tough stuff so it’ll heal better than ever and you have plenty of nice wine to drink in your recovery. Maybe listen to some hip hop.

Maybe a bottle of this, 52?
