Does anyone think there is any credibility to the rumours of United signing him?
I know ETH only likes to one deal at a time and I assumed that Ramus kid was now the deal his guys are working on? But there's been a lot of paper talk over the last week or so about United being in for Ambrabat.

Would anyone take him over McT and Fred? Is this just all noise from his camp to get him a better deal?

Have to say aside from the world cup I don't think I've ever seen him play but he was one of the stand out players in the WC for me in a Morocco side that went very far.

He's a very good defensive DM and disrupter but he's not a top footballer.

Probably perfect for what we lack in the squad though. Away trips to Anfield and Emptyhad won't be as hellish with both him and Casemiro in the middle.

Depends what you mean by a "footballer", by all accounts he has a great range of passing and he's freakishly strong too.

Only seen him in the WC but in a side who have less of the ball, as we expect against the likes of City and Arsenal, he could be a great addition.

There's definitely a trend with our signings, they all seem to be players who have a lot of stamina and are either physically imposing or good tactically. Something we've seen from Pep in recent transfer windows.

Average or slightly above.

Incredible engine on him though. He will definitely be a huge asset to us, particularly in the more difficult fixtures.

What's appealing in Amrabat is that he would provide not just back-up for Casemiro, but a player who I think is better in the build-up phase than the Brazilian while also being very capable as a defensive block. Mainoo looks like he could be a fine deep playmaker, but you wouldn't want to burden him with responsibility as United's single DM shield at this stage.
