Just thinking, a suggestion for this season when it comes to goal scorers. If we were to predict OG (own goal) as the scorer and /or PEN including the name of the scorer could that hold a higher point value?

e.g. Collins (PEN) or Own Goal

Points available, I don't know, say 3 points? Only if it's not too much trouble for you when it comes to calculating the stats and everyone is happy with that suggestion. (Or the majority are)

Hmm, Id be inclined to treat OG in the same way as any other scorer. Not sure about pens, maybe 1 extra point, but dont agree with 3 additional points.
Takes the science out of it & makes the whole thing far too random

I think it’s a great formula as it is - meddle with it and we’ll end losing a third of its value and calling it ‘X’

Im up for any ideas as long as admin side doesnt take too long.

If i understand you Desi you want to give extra points just for predicting PEN.

So If you get extra points then everyone will just say PEN every week? or am i missing something?

You're right, you're missing nowt.

Only way that would work is if you give -3 if its wrong, then it all gets complicated when View is on -138 at the end of the season.

Early views are it's a no.

Regards PEN how'd it work is if predicted goalscorer scores via a penalty you get three points. If they score two penalties, points X 2.

However if predicted goalscorer was to score via any other method you'd not get any points. You forfeit your goalscorer point(s) if there's no penalty.

Calling Collins (PEN) for example will only get you three points if he scores via a penalty only. (You get a higher number of points for making the PEN prediction because you won't achieve goalscoring points for any other type of goal from the goalscorer).

Comes with better fonts than The Hundred! But you are right Ang, I was about to give up typing the above as I couldn't see there be many, if any, buying into it.

Grateful Banno took on my original suggestion (goalscorer) was just looking to add something new and interesting this season to give us more opportunity of points, but without spoiling the game.
