There's a growing clamor for Boehly's exit, and while it's undeniable that our journey under their reign has been tumultuous — and mostly unfavorable — it's essential to acknowledge that they've invested substantially in the squad.
When it comes to on-field performances, the players have been at the center of much criticism. But let's be clear: this is a gifted group. The evidence is evident in our domination in most matches this season.
However, the responsibility of team selection falls squarely on one man — the coach.
Many defend Pochettino, often citing various reasons, and I feel it's essential to address them:
Injuries: While we do have a list, including:
Benoit Badiashile
Armando Broja
Marcus Bettinelli
Trevoh Chalobah
Carney Chukwuemeka
Wesley Fofana
Reece James
Christopher Nkunku
Romeo Lavia
Only Nkunku and James are irreplaceable. If Pochettino's tactics falter without just these two, then there's a larger issue at hand.
Player Selection and Tactics:
Our recruitment strategy has been clear: invest in potential. We've seen the evidence — we've dominated. But are the players being utilized effectively? Pochettino's reluctance to adapt his tactics is evident. We often attack with limited players. His decisions against Bournemouth and Forest were questionable, to say the least.
Moreover, his unusual choices, like preferring Collwill as a left-back over two specialists, or playing Chilwell out of position, are baffling. And his substitutions? Arguably the most nonstrategic I've seen.
Pochettino seemed out of depth at PSG, and it appears Chelsea might be another challenging task for him.
Where Do We Point the Finger?
If there's one thing the ownership can be held accountable for, it's their managerial appointments. We missed out on Nagelsmann, who might've brought a fresh tactical approach. Pochettino, unfortunately, seems more like a relic of past tactical styles, better suited for a team content with defending.
The Way Forward:
Pochettino's tenure needs reconsideration — and swiftly. The delay in Potter's sacking cost us, but the situation is now dire. We need a manager in tune with modern football's tactical nuances. Our squad is potent, but under Pochettino, our attackers' confidence is ebbing.

Bit early for that imo.

Mon, lets face it, were are 17 months into Boehly- Clearlakes tenure.
The fact is we are at our least competitive since 1997, look it up.
hanging it on Poch at this point is easy, the issues are bigger and have. been a knock on from each poor decision these guys have made.
What is going to happen in the next 8 matches, we dont have a squad that is able to manage the injury list, the difficulty of blending so many inexperienced ELP players.
The likely hood is that come early December we will have only 10 points.
We cant have it both ways, give the manager time and not look at the ownership and consider how they put the club in this postion.
Id rather give Poch the season and be realistic about the ownerships abysmal handling of the club they took over.

Poch from his Spurs days was not a manager "content with defending". That is not his modus operandi
The error has been to give a new coach a collection of players not bought by him and effectively rebuild the entire team in 12 months.
A hierarchy with no idea about football thinking its the same as playing fantasy league.
Poch is not alone in his failure to get a tune out of this team. Its 4 managers in 12 months and it will soon become toxic where it will almost be impossible to make the progession the club want.

i do agree with Devon on this

Poch took a poor Spurs team to the brink of being slightly less shiite. Chelsea should get rid now.

ive seen enough of poch to know hes never going to get it to work we need a manager whos willing to take risks and go for games more not just set out to not to lose
we have been here before with potter
He will have us fighting relegation before some realise that the buck for onfield performances stops with him

Pretty clear our form issues go back a lot further than Poch. He hasn't had the immediate impact I was hoping for, but I'll hang in a while longer before calling for his head. It's still very very early on. I think people were firing Ten Hag at this time last season and United ended up pretty happy with their season in the end.

Tbf as someone said on YouTube, you can't have a new manager bounce if the manager is given a completely new set of players.

Same as TCW I was hoping Poch would have an immediate impact which would result in us challenging for the title however coupled with a big injury list it looks like it’ll take a few months and we’ll just steal 3rd or 4th in the later part of the season
Silva needs to be phased out and we need a striker but other than that things look great under poch

Mon, i agree the first 6 games results are a reflection on the manager as well as the overall nature with which the squad was put together.
Changing another manager imo will not be in the interest's of the club & squad.
What do you expect to achieve by this change ?
Our European ambitions this seasons are not credible.
Dropping 13 points out of 18 , during an easyish run of games is not the type of form that is going to improve in the next run of games.
If we dont get anything out of Fulham & Burnley id be surprised, but after that the following 6 games we going to have to have a massive improvement to pick up any points.
I think the club should give Poch the season, see how the side play when its at what i assume will be something like full strength and then decide if he is getting the best out of what he has.
I think as long as we don't get relegated , where we end up in the table this season it is irrelevant from a footballing perspective, as we have absolutely zero chance of getting any form of European football.
Although the lack of income imo, will press the owners into selling pure profit academy assets, no matter who they are unfortunately, but that is the other side of this mess that the owners have created.
